Dr. Roshanak Monzavi, MD

Requested for her to sign a document for enrollment into HS so that my daughter can self medicate her insulin. I've waited over a week and continue to wait.

Dr. Monzavi is the BEST Pediatric Endocrinologist ever - PERIOD. The negative reviews below are more about CHLA, not her. Here's why I think she's the best- Dr. Monzavi has seen my son since 2013 when he was first diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Not only has she always been extremely competent during his visits and in prescribing his medications, she goes the extra mile and shows that she truly cares in her talks and advice with him, and us, his parents. She is highly knowledgeable and is always on the forefront of new treatments and technologies, and advises us on how to improve his quality of life in better managing his diabetes. Each visit with her is a gift, and she never rushes us during a visit and always takes the time to answer all of our questions. She even helped our son get into college this year! I don't know if we could have gotten through all these years without her, and we feel blessed that she was the one who has accompanied us on this difficult journey.

I debated before writing this review but after reading the previous review I could not stay quiet. No response/follow-up from this doctor and her team. Always seems in a rush and no personal interaction to connect with her patients. I am so disappointed in CHLA Pediatrics-endocrinology. Second MD we are seeing there… we switched for the reasons listed above but now experiencing the same with Dr Monzavi. This office does not see to care much about their patients.

I have called Dr. Monzavi's office and asked for my son's test results and/or to speak to the doctor half a dozen times. The test was done 3-4 weeks ago. I get no calls back and still have zero test results. It is a waste of my time and delaying care for my son.
