Like others, my experience wasn't great
I came to her for an evaluation regarding my attention deficit and depression symptoms. I've always been someone who struggles but masks and stifles my disorganization. The first visit was a bit awkward, to be expected, but instead of warming up, she became more cold and aggressive each time I saw her. She explained that diagnosis requires a lengthy test, which I was willing to do, but then she said we can try a stimulant before that and see how I do. At subsequent visits, I felt like I was being interrogated despite her being the one to suggest we try the meds without official testing. When I brought up some discussions I've had with my LMHC regarding my symptoms and how they intertwine with my attachment, she came off as dismissive. She didn't seem to care about my symptoms affect my relationships and vice versa, but this is an important factor to understanding me. I'm now seeing another MD at the same clinic who has already been 10x more engaged and authentic.

The absolute worst
This has been the worst healthcare experience of my entire life. If I could rate this office zero stars, I would. The front desk staff failed to refill prescriptions on time, and Dr. Zhang was completely disengaged and apathetic during each session. Any complaints or problems with the medications were dismissed, or she tried to end the session as quickly as possible. I brought up the problems that I was having with the medication, and how it was making me feel, and she talked to me like it was my fault that brain-altering chemicals were not having the desired effect. She seemed either uncaring or didn't know the answers to many of the questions I posed about the medication. Stay away from this office if you value your health. Because nobody there does.

Rude & Uncaring
To start at my initial visit - she never introduced herself, called my name to come back then walked back to her office without guiding me or walking with me, forcing me to chase behind. Very apathetic and invalidating when discussing my life circumstances and symptoms. I portrayed that I felt stress in my current life situation as my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and Rose immediately cut me off to say, “well that’s easily manageable though” not even knowing the total circumstances or allowing me to complete that statement. I felt uncomfortable the entire time, not someone I trust to open up to. Not to mention the obvious eye rolls while listening to me speak. Avoid at all costs. I ignored the reviews to give it a shot so you don’t have to! I left feeling worse than when I went in.

Apathetic, Robotic, and Judgemental Psych
I heavily agree with other 1-star comments. I've been a patient for a year, Dr. Zhang has repeatedly made me feel unheard and embarrassed to explain my symptoms in her chair. She will make judgemental comments from a place that would aid a neurotypical person such as 'Well why don't you just...' or 'Maybe you should just stop doing xyz' as if it is that simple. She defends her practice by being stringently 'by the books' even when advocating for yourself. She does not try to learn and understand your unique situations or apply a cultural and individualized lens for your unique situation. Instead, she applies a 'if you just pick yourself up by the bootstraps' and assumes your problems and symptoms are an easy-fix. You will feel judged, betlittled, and humiliated in her office. Please find ways to improve Dr. Zhang. I feel that you failed me as a patient.

0/5 Please avoid.
Dr. Zhang initially misdiagnosed my condition and put me on an inappropriate treatment plan. Subsequently, a second opinion from a neuropsychologist provided a different diagnosis and upon presenting this to her, she reluctantly adjusted my treatment. Throughout my visits, Dr. Zhang had a confrontational approach and disagreed with the opinions of the healthcare community and other experts. The medications she prescribed had varying effects and requesting a change altered her perception of my needs, leading to remarks about my preferences. My treatment plan remained largely unchanged despite ongoing side effects, and Dr. Zhang declined requests when I needed adjustments due to medication availability issues. I found her advice at times to be extremely judgemental and uninformed.Based on my experience, I would advise caution and thorough consideration before consulting with this healthcare provider.

If you have a simple problem, she may be able to help, but it seemed like she just had no experience with what helps people. She’ll just prescribe you whatever you want, I felt like eveything she said was just reciting from a textbook. In the end, my primary care providers actually felt more knowledgeable and had a better idea of what can help, and what to expect. I was really surprised that she didn’t know that people had side effects from various ssris and such, “ usually people take them and don’t feel anything”. A quick google search would show you how many various side effects and wierd feelings ssris and other drugs can cause. She is nice and friendly, but she needs to get some more experience or something. She didn’t even recommend anything like therapy or anything else, just well what drug do you wanna try next? I would avoid, or wait ten years for her to get more experience. Nothing against the lady, she is nice, but I didn’t get much out the visit.

Rushed appointments
I would not recommend Dr. Zheng. She spent less than 10 minutes with me during a routine visit and interrupted me when I was tying to answer her questions. I felt that Dr. Zheng did not consider my feelings, opinions or values when deciding how to treat me.
