Dr. Rose Sotolongo, DPM

Treated me for warts on foot, ingrown toenails, and peripheral neuropathy. She will suggest natural supplements which help. Office is very busy with patients, well worth the wait. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

3 appointments. First visit I received a shot and a brace. Dr. Sotolongo told me to wear when I was resting and sleeping. A member of her staff told me I didn't have to wear it while sleeping. Second visit she gave me stronger shot and said if that didn't work then next visit would be a pre-op. Third visit she came in, felt my heel and said "Yeah, that arch isn't letting up... put your sock and shoes back on and my scheduler will get you set up". She didn't bother to tell me what my surgery was called, what would be done or anything. I went to checkout and I asked what I was having done and she said the name and showed me where it was printed on my instructions paper. I had to learn more from YouTube than my doctor. So needles to say, I learned that I could do massages, get inserts, and change my shoes. None of these were ever told or prescribed to me by Dr. Sotolongo before resorting to surgery. I ended up canceling the surgery. Massages and shoes worked.

Wonderful experience. Most definitely would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Sotolongo is the best podiatrist/DPM in the Jackson area. I was misdiagnosed twice before I saw her. Dr. Fariabi was one of the Drs that misdiagnosed me. He said that my ankle was just "fine". Well, she could not believe how bad my ankle was. I had to have ankle surgery. It's been 4 weeks now and I am finally recouping. She is brilliant and confident. Did not tell me my diagnosis. Her staff attempted a laser procedure to reduce inflammation. I had to point out it wasn't plugged in to the outlet in the wall.i was told to do my exercises faithfully, difficult to do when they don't instruct you on them. I felt like a cow in a shute, and the smartest person there. Very frightening
