Dr. Ronaldo Luanzon, MD

I had my first appointment with Dr Luanzon today. I was nervous but after meeting him I was very comfortable. Super nice and informative. Was thinking about switching to a female doctor but definitely keeping him.

I was new to AZ and Dr. Luanzon had great reviews. Went to see him and all was good. The issue is that whenever another provider, or myself, contacted the office to get or obtain information, it went into a vortex.....and we would NEVER get an answer. When I called them out repeatedly, all we got was excused....EVERY TIME. He seemed like a solid doctor but the correspondence aspect was NOT good.

Not only does Dr Luanzon have a wealth of experience which guides him daily but he has the very rare skill of knowing how to really listen to and hear his patients. He is patient and will take the time to understand and properly diagnose your illness or issue. I always leave his office having learned at least one new thing.

For someone of Dr. Luanzon's standing within Cigna Evernorth, I expected a higher level of care than what I received. At my request, I had blood work completed to check my testosterone levels. Because of the results, he prescribed prescribed Testosterone Cypionate (injections). First injection no issues. Two weeks later, I had a second injection with no immediate reaction. However, within a few days, extreme itching set in on my hands, arms, and elbows (scratching until bleeding level). To get it under control, I was slathering on hydrocortisone throughout the day, everyday, for about two weeks. I messaged Dr. Luanzon as soon as the symptoms set in, however he never bothered to respond. I had to schedule an appointment with the next available NP. That appointment though was useless. Bottom line: for the head of a medical center, Dr. Luanzon's lack of follow through was not only irresponsible, but also demonstrated utter incompetence.

I have seeing Dr. Luanzon for six years, about once a year for my routine check-ups. I have found Dr. Luanzon to be an excellent communicator, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Unlike other doctors I have interacted with, he is not arrogant or brash, nor does he come across as rushed. He is kind and soft-spoken, and takes his time to understand issues.

I just love Dr. Luanzon! He really hears what I say and then responds with his wealth of knowledge. Always kind.....friendly..... and interested in my welfare...I would recommend him to anyone seeking a Primary Care Doctor!

Dr. Luanzon is exceptionally carrying and knowledgeable physician. It is always a pleasure coming to his office and feel his deep concerns and willing to help. Also he is nice person and not a bureaucrat like some other doctors I have seen.

Met with Dr Lunanzon on 3/3/2017, waited longer than I wanted to, understood why when we met,he took the time to take my Q's and make sure I understood his explanations. Blood drawn for annual std tests, he personally called me on 3/6 to discuss an abnormality in my results and the prescribed treatment, sent him an email same day with follow up questions, he responded within 2 hrs answering my questions completely. Hoping this screwed up Gov/Ins system does not force me to change Dr's next yr.

My Grandson has extreme anxiety.{SMI], we were 16 min. late for his appointment. He was vomiting. It was for a follow-up from being in the hospital for anxiety and strep throat and stomach issues. They had a notice up there stating the doctor was 20Min. behind. BUT being we were 16 min. late they would not see him!!!

After moving out of Scottsdale having to find a new Dr only having horrible experiences with 3 other doctors, now I'm willing to drive 25 minutes just to see Dr Luanzon he is the best Dr I had seen I've been in az.
