Dr. Ronald Short, MD

My dad had this doctor over-seeing his liver issues for many years. My dad just passed in August of this year. From what I gathered from both of my parents, Dr. Short did little in explaining what was going on, what to expect as things progressed, etc. In my dad's last hospital stay, they didn't offer hospice care, or anything, really. I was the one that looked into those types of options. They put him in rehab, something that really wasn't helpful at this point in his care. My dad should have been at home. The nurses never called back. It's a true disgrace that this doctor is even practicing! He needs to retire!My dad came home from the hospital on July 5th and passed on August 3rd of 2024 under hospice care.

I've been seeing Dr Short for 20 years, He has always been a great doctor with a great bedside manner. I would cont. to see him but ,problem I have is since he joined with Skyline Gastro. It took me a year to get a colonoscopy, and 4 weeks to get fibro test results, on my Liver it took the nurse 4 weeks to call me with my results, I called them a l, it took a long time to get a fibro scan. That can be dangerous , if you needed treatment right away. When they finally called ,the nurse told me very little, I was confused . If a person was bad sick taking that long can cost them their life. This is a mess that needs straightened out. I am going to have to find a new doctor whom is aware of what's going on. That makes me sad . I know she didn't tell the dr about my ultrasound that could be causing my Liver Problem. I've Called has not return my calls. Dr Short, I Pray You read your reviews. Dr Short is Great its his staff messing up. this never happened at his other office.

This person has an atrocious bedside manner. "Why are you here?" he asked, in a tone suggesting that he was annoyed by my presence.
