Dr. Ryder told me MORE about my pulmonary problem that 4 pulmonologists I have seen. His insight to what was happening was very clear. As for the heart, he also explained thoroughly about how the pulmonary problem can affect the heart as well. I was able to tell my pulmonologist (number 4 from U of Penn) that he needs to go back to school and learn something as I received better care and information from Dr. Ryder that ANY of the 32 Drs. I have seen.

Amazing Cardiologist!
Dr. Ryder is incredibly proactive in preventing cardiac troubles. In contrast, most cardiologists just wait to correct the trouble after you bring it to their attention. He initiates testing to prevent problems and doesn't just wait around to hear about what hurts before he does anything. This is the best cardiologist I have been to since my heart attack 27 years ago.

Dr. Ryder, always steps above the rest.
I must say, that even though I may not see Dr. Ryder for long periods of time (my fault as I often need to reschedule), he acts as if he knows one personally and has not forgotten you or your particular medical circumstances. Contrary to my other doctors, he does not pull out all the negatives in labs or start predicting doom. He also does not immediately start throwing RX's in your direction. What he does do, is to help you Understand your results better and can actually mention a couple of things you may be doing right. This method actually makes me Want to work harder on my health. It is apparent that he also works hard on his own health which can be rather inspiring. The whole staff at both the Madison bldg. and Kuser road are well trained, courteous and kind. I feel that Dr. Ryder has high standards for both himself and his staff, and, it shows. His assistant, Larry, is particularly helpful and patient.
