It is a special honor to highly recommend my favorite doctor! I have known him since he was a resident at SIU-SM/Springfield; he trained under the best, period ~ and, he was respected and trusted by them. Of course, he is certainly a most excellent orthopaedic surgeon, but, besides that (which is what we all want), he is simply a good, caring, thoughtful, personable gentleman with the best bedside manner, empathic perspective, and realistic approach. He has performed two successful joint replacements for me, and I'm just grateful I have been able to have his care. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Romanelli did a knee replacement for me many years ago. He is in my opinion the best orthopedic surgeon with in 100 mikes of Springfield IL.
He worked on my shoulder this time and I healed and was able to go back to work in 5 weeks.

I was referred to Dr. Romanelli through a close friend and due to my work in the medical field I had heard his name and knew many physicians who referred patients to him. Upon the day of my appointment I was seen first by his nurse, then by his resident and lastly by him. I was incredibly impressed at how much knowledge his resident had, knowledgeable residents speak volumes of physicians. Upon meeting Dr. R I could not have been happier, he took his time, very thorough and a great personality!
