Nearly killed me
Dr. Ronald Reese was my doctor for the entirety of my life up until he nearly killed me when I was 16. For months of agonising pain, he kept telling me and my mom that everything was in my head and kept pressing for a pysch eval. Wasn't until I showed up to his office paralyzed that he took me seriously and finally ordered the MRI that found an extremely rare bone tumor on my spine. My neurosurgeon said I was only a few days from death, as the pressure on my spinal cord being exerted by the tumor was the equivalent to an elephant standing on my spine. If he would have taken me and my concerns seriously from the get go, I wouldn't have had to endure months of the most excruciating pain, re-learn to walk, or any of the other pain or embarrassment that I suffered as a result.
