Bad procedure outcome
I had a large kidney stone to be removed and he ended up using an old method of abdominal surgery. The procedure was poorly done and the incision severed a nerve causing atrophy of the muscle wall which has caused me terrible abdominal issues and bulging for years. He refused to listen to me after the surgery regarding issues that could have been helped. So, I'm still suffering daily because of his lack of skills. Stay away from him.

I found Dr. Macintyre to be very personable. He spent the time to review my condition with me and was open to my treatment suggestions. He seemed to have a very good grasp of the latest studies and research and was quite knowledgeable and engaging. Surgery went really well and recovery was quick. His nurse was a bit gruff but otherwise very good with me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Macintyre.

I made an appointment with Dr. MacIntyre 4 months ago. I was scheduled to have a vasectomy Friday. My surgery was scheduled for 4/19/19, and my wife gets a call from his office on 4/16/19 saying he wants to cancel/reschedule the surgery to 4/18/19 instead. THREE days before the surgery he wants to change this after I waited 4 months. And he didn't even call me. He called my wife. The reason that "Dr." MacIntyre gives is that he has surgery on Friday. Yeah, my surgery! What is this bull?

Very terrible experience. Stay away from MacIntyre. He will say he has done thousands of vasectomies but if you show pain or move a little he will give up and walk out of the room. When I told him I wanted a different urologist he said "that would be good for both of us". I'm trying to do the best for my family but my fear of a vasectomy is so much worse because of him. I swear I just flinched when he injected me. He didn't give me time to get use to the pain. The nurses are really great though

If I could give this doctor a 0, I would. My husband has Stage 4 metastatic renal cell carcinoma that has metastasized to the lymph nodes. The doctor had a very cavalier and arrogant attitude. There was no compassion nor concern for what we were going through. He basically was telling us to make plans to die. We left feeling depressed with no hope. I was in tears and my husband not believing what we had just heard. If you want compassion, hope, and a caring doctor, DO NOT go to this man.

Dr. MacIntyre is awesome! He's down to earth, speaks to you in an easy going way, he's easy to talk to, answers all your questions and is very reassuring and comforting when you're nerveous and scared. His passion for his profession and dedication to make you well makes him special. I won't go to anyone else but him.
