Had to go for an assessment. Upon entry the office staff was not friendly. I arrived in excruciating pain and was complaining of my pain when having to fill out forms. I got nothing, not a tissue, nor an ounce of human decency. I got to see the Dr. and was rushed thought the assessment with little to no compassion, care, or attempt to understand. I understand my documents were not sent prior to my arrive, but I was assured they would be by the referring agency..Nonetheless, I called while in office and had them resent. Upon leaving, there was a new person at the office. As I was exiting, I was in even more pain, crying, and trying to gather myself for the ride home when she offered me tissues and was very compassionate. I still would not choose this location at all.

I definitely would
After being referred by my ortho for specialist wrist surgery, I was very hesitant to go after reading some reviews. I am here to tell you that they are so wrong about him. All I experienced was very professional, caring, dr. He explained to me all he needed to do. He took care of me . Made me feel so calm. He done great surgery. I’ve had 2 follow ups and still love him. So don’t ever listen to negativity on these reviews. I couldn’t have gotten better care. He also made sure my pain was controlled. He put me off leave from work as long as I needed. I have to have lots of therapy and he got me in with the best, speciality , commonwealth hand therapy. I am very happy with my dr. I have lot of anxiety so this is saying a lot.

Dr. Burgess did not seem to care about my pain. When I tried to explain, he was short and cut me off. He seemed distant, almost bored. Even if he had given me some options or help, I would never have returned to him. I would never recommend. It is sad that doctors become jaded to their patients suffering.

I was seen for a problem with my wrist. Dr. Burgess was not in my room longer than 5 minutes my first appointment and did not even examine my wrist. He then ordered an MRI which I did. Dr Burgess said the results showed nothing, (he didn’t explain anything to me or answer my questions) he then proceeded to tell me that j was making my pain up and nothing was wrong, he then walked out of the room and my appointment was over. I was left with no answers and still a lot of pain. I do not recommend.

Dr Burgess has a very poor manner. He came in and didn't even introduce himself. He sat down and started talking without even shaking hands. His personality would be enough not to go back or to recommend him. This is my opinion.

In my opinion, Dr Burgess has a very poor bedside manner. He came in and didn't even introduce himself or even attempt any social graces. He sat down and started talking without even shaking hands. He has a flat affect which comes across as boredom. I can't speak to his clinical skills, but his personality would be enough not to go back or to recommend him. He comes across as burned out and he looks to be at an age of nearing retirement. Better sooner rather than later. This is my opinion.

It is interesting for me to read people's individual experiences. Dr Burgess may be a man of few words, but I trust him 100%! I work in surgery on occasion with him. He does an amazingly wonderful job with each patient, no matter the complexity. He has my "thumbs up" recommendation!!

I am 70yo male with hand ligament pain needing a simple correction. There is no way in a few words to express all the mistakes (which actually began with the incorrect info that one of the two office workers gave me...the taller lady that can't stay focused as well as one might hope). There were two minor procedures done to correct minor problems...one problem has returned and the other helped but at the expense of creating a new arthritic condition. Not, Not recommending this surgeon ever.
