Bad surgery experience. Got band removed. New surgeon said he did not take air out as much as he should (painful recovery) Also- wouldn’t remove band when presented complications. Had to go out of town. He also sent threatening letters to all his patients to see him every quarter or he would stop seeing them, EVEN in emergency situations.

Dr. Hekier performed an appendectomy on my son. His bedside manner was great. He was informative, and treated us with kindness and was always great to answer our questions. He went out of his way to help us understand everything that was going on with our son.

He is horrible! He left part of my appendix in and it turned gangrene and was oozing bowel content into my abdomen for months and I was 24 hours away from dying when another surgeon saved me and fixed all my incisions that the Dr Hacker messed up

I have been provided excellent care by Dr. Hekier and his staff. They made sure I knew and understood all aspects of my surgery and all my questions answered. Follow up care is phenomenal as Dr. Hekier truly does care about his patients.

Dr Hekier is an outstanding surgeon. I have been a patient for many years, and have always been treated with dignity and respect. He shows excellence in his field, and is extremely educated and well versed. I would highly recommend he, and his staff, to anyone looking for a surgeon. Outstanding service every visit.

Dr. Hekier is a great a Dr. I love that he is always on top of new things and keeping up with all his patient . I Jamiske Coulter had never been under the knife. Dr. Hekier and his staff have been their for me every step of the way . No matter how I may feel he would say to look forward a not think about past. I feel like a Family member when I am around the Hekier Family...

Dr. Hekier is the best! He actually listened to my complaints and cared about my well being. I know several surgeons and alot of the time they just want to throw a diagnosis at you without even listening to what your saying. Dr. Hekier took his time and made sure everything was perfect. His bedside manner was excellent, he was polite and professional. I would Highly recommend!!

I had lapband surgery 2 years ago by Dr. Hekier best decision ever he was so helpful throughout the whole process and very concerned I have lost 120 pounds. His staff is wonderful they call and check on you and so does Dr. Hekier I would highly recommend him.

I had the Lap-Band surgery 10 years ago. Best decision I ever made. They supported me from the very beginning and have helped me along way. I have lost over 100lbs and it has stayed off for 10years. His staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, whether it's answering questions or to get worked in as an emergency. He has also done general surgery on my husband. All around great office. Would highly recommend! Thank you all for helping me have a healthy life!

Dr Hekier was very anxious to put the band in but not so anxious to admit that it was the cause of horrible problems I experienced for 7 years before finding another surgeon willing to remove it. He did not listen to my repeated complaints of horrible stomach pain and did not bother to document any of these complaints in my chart either. I would not recommend Ron Hekier as a surgeon to anyone.
