Dr. Roger Toma conducted a scope of my nose during my visit (which I did not request) and he did not tell me in advance that I would be billed over $400 for the procedure, which took less than five minutes. I called the billing office and asked that they reduce the bill since the charge seemed excessive and was not disclosed to me before it was conducted. The representative I spoke with in the billing department told me that she would look into and get back to me. Seven months passed and I heard nothing. Instead, my balance was forwarded to a FEDERAL COLLECTION AGENCY. I called the billing department again to reenergize the conversation and ask if anything could be done to reduce the amount I owed, and the representative (Paige) was incredibly rude and eventually hung up on me. So now, I owe a lot of money for something that did not improve my condition, the doctor's office did not follow through on their commitment to me, and they were exceptionally rude as well.

I visited Dr. Toma's office on several occasions, a few years apart for different reasons. However, the experience was the same: A thoughtful and thorough doctor that explained his diagnosis in a way that was comforting and sensible for someone with no medical background. In addition, his staff went out of their way to squeeze me in for my appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Toma for your ENT needs.

I have been a patient of this practice for years and would recommend Dr. Roger Toma to all of my family and friends. The office is helpful and even though the doctors are very busy, they try to fit you in. I recently had a very bad sinus and ear infection and Dr. Toma explained exactly what was happening and the medicine he prescribed worked right away. He really knows his stuff! Don’t hesitate and make your appointment with Dr. Toma today.

Simply put, I needed a septorhinoplasty. He didn’t do it. Anesthesia burned badly going in. My nose was worse coming out vs going in. Plus, he charged me full price and raped my wallet by convincing me to use the horrible Great Lakes Surgery Center (who sent me to collections even after I paid them $385 prior to surgery). If I would have used Oakwood (now Beaumont), I would have only paid $175. Anyway, I had to have the procedure done again 6 months later by the U of M, who charged me absolutely nothing! Dr Toma has a bad bedside manner and is a bad surgeon. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was the “C” student in medical school

Dr. Toma is amazing at what he does. He explains everything and answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I was never rushed and felt taken care of by each member of his staff. He performed sinus surgery on me and honestly, I have only had 3 sinus infections in the last 6 years when I used to get them 4 times per year before the surgery. I highly recommend you see him for any ENT or allergy needs!

Very bad doctor who is inpatient, mad manners, to quick to give you his time. He botched my sinus surgery and I cannot swallow or eat like I use to! He gets out of surgery and then says it’s my fault! Then he proceeds to leave snd go have lunch! Never have I seen such a disgusting selfish doctor! Don’t go here

I’m too busy in Dearborn mi – Jan 13, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Toma?
Office staff is rude and uncaring. Every time I am there they act like they don't have time to be bother with me. They don't look at you when they talk to you they are so busy with the computer. Appointments are not based on urgency of your problem. I had to wait a month for something I felt was urgent and could lead to death. They didn't even acknowledge my concern! The Dr is great but he's not worth anything if you cant get past his staff.
