Do Not Go to Dr. Poling
Not up-to-date on latest medication dangers, demeaning and condescending. I would never recommend him to anyone. He was supposed to be treating my father and I was afraid for my father's life. Glad he survived Dr. Poling and got to a real doctor in Nashville.

I saw him for about 10 years, and now I know he basically drove me into “psychosis”. I finally asked for help tapering his medication regime for which he briskly gave me over the phone instructions. He basically cold-turkeyed me but somehow I survived. I’ve never spoken with him or anyone in his office again. He never even called to check to see if I survived the withdrawal after being his patient for 10 years. His parting words on the phone were, “well, good luck” and he hung up.

I have seen Dr. Poling for Yeats and he is a very good Dr. he cares about his patients. Giving medications that truly help and making sure none of the medications interfere with others a patient may take. He stands up for his patiences and guards there privacy. He may seem uncaring but he is just a serious man and very professional . February 9 2018

Charged a fortune for maybe a 10 minute office visit. He acted as though he wasn't even listening to me. Seemed to not care at all about why I was there and helping me. No compassion and very judgmental.

I gave this man 3 visits before wriing a review. He gives me the impression he doesn' want me there. He is hard to talk to,doesn' listen to anything I have to say and has an attitude.I have had a few psych doctors in the past.He is the absolute worst.I moved to this area recently and needed a new psych doctor.I definitely do not recommend him.

He has cared for clients of my senior care business and has achieved very good results with the behavior issues for which he changed and adjusted medications, but didn't put them into a dazed state. I have been impressed with his success dealing with some very difficult and violent cases. I highly recommend Dr Poling and the Behavioral Medical Center in Columbia, tn, bove any of the big, impersonal psychiatric hospitals ajd treatment centers that I have observed over the years in Nashville.
