last 10 years the worst one I have seen
Bad I have never and not being dramatic but never felt so passed over as my visit. Explained I went to ER and My Doctor and sent to him. Then he spent 5 min with me said use this cream and come back in a month. To see if you need surgery options. I tried explain been in pain the last 2 months just trying to get in. But didnt seem to care. He just sat in his chair and let me know make a appointment on the way out. Going to try call and switch to someone else cause none of my other doctors I see for tumor or personal or endo specialist have treated me that disrespectful and lack of listening.

5-Hour Trip Ends in Doctor's Dismissal no treatmt
I contacted Dr. Kratz office at 10:50 to inform them that challenges with the WS Ferry system resulted a 90 delay in my departure from Whidbey Island and my anticipated arrival was still 11:45 but I may be a few min. late. The person who answered the phone confirmed that I should continue in, that he would notify the nursing staff of a potential delay of a few min and assured me that Dr. Kratz would see me when I arrived. - total travel time of 5 hoursI checked in at the reception desk at 11:50 and was informed that Dr. Kratz had gone to lunch. He would be back at 1PM and see me then. I run a service business and with a client mtg. at 3PM back on Whidbey, I could not wait for Dr. Kratz to return from lunch. Having worked in Healthcare for years, I know that may surgeons tend to be somewhat arrogant, but this was beyond anything I have ever experienced. I felt totally dismissed, disrespected. It is very clear Dr. Kratz is there for the money and not the patients he treats.

If you’re seeking genuine care, you will not find it with Dr. Kratz. But, if you choose him as your provider, expect him to be consistently: Dismissive, condescending, rude, and arrogant. He claims not to refer patients because he is a specialist, yet advises them to see other specialists instead. In reality, he’s just boastfully unwilling to take on any additional work. It’s unfortunate and infuriating, especially for someone in healthcare like myself, to witness a provider refuse further testing while misleading patients about the options available, options his own nurse confirmed are offered the day prior to an appointment. I’m disappointed that we spent $800 for a 17-minute appointment only to be told no further testing would be done, despite his previous recommendations failing to work. It’s incredibly concerning the he allows his ego to prevent him from conducting additional testing as if his word is all that she would believe in considering the last failed treatment plan he gave us. If you want truly personable care and a treatment plan that addresses your concerns the first time, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Find another provider who genuinely cares about their patients and isn’t in it for the money grab while also being condescending to his patients.

So grateful to have found him!
I am beyond grateful for Dr Kratz! In our first visit, I received answers I’d been fighting years for with Kaiser. I’ve since had a few procedures with him, and will in the future as well. He is kind and attentive, and a straight shooter which I really appreciate. Communication with Dr Kratz and his team is always timely and clear, including coordination with my other care team. I highly recommend Dr Kratz!
