Dr. Young always such time and care when discussing the specifics of my cancer and my treatment plan and options. She’s knowledgeable and caring, and I highly recommend her.

Yes!!! Wish I could give more stars. She is thorough and takes the time to listen and answer questions. Other reviews indicate sometimes long wait times, but I think that’s because she gives Each patient the time they need (at what can be a very stressful time for them). I leave feeling like I am her most important patient and that it genuinely matters to her that I get the best and most up to date care possible. Cancer sucks, but having a compassionate, knowledgeable, highly skilled professional on your side sure helps!

I am a patient of Dr Young’s and have been for 21 years. I also worked for her as her patient navigator. I found her to be thorough and compassionate with me and her patients. She investigates all symptoms a patient presents with and makes sure she knows of any new symptoms by questions and answers. She reads patient reports herself and in fact insists she has all a patient’s test and lab results before she sees them in the office. She tells patients was their estimated survival percentage is if they don’t take the treatment she advises them to take.

The Center for cancer and blood disorders is a great example of corporate medicine gone bad. The overriding mission - despite all their Platitudes - is profits before patients. I received increasingly poor care over the years. It seems the only people with any power to do anything are the physicians and they are kept so insulated from the patients, good luck getting the help you need when you need it. The lowest paid employees seem to be in charge of carrying out doctors orders. They are non responsive, create delays and screw up the orders. Inter office communication is a joke. Accountability is a joke. Dealing with cancer is not nearly as difficult as dealing with this bureaucracy. I should have left a long time ago.

If you are considering her as your oncologist.......don’t. It’s true she relies on her staff to read the reports and then misinformation is passed onto you the patient. I was treated for months with Ibrance and should not have been on it. Wasted months of my life! Thank goodness I moved to another city and got correct treatment. But I can’t get that time back. I am terminal and every day is precious. Please be sure to get a second opinion if you are considering her.

My experience with Dr. Young has been only positive. She was not rude, she was very caring and spent all the time necessary to explain my diagnosis and the proposed treatment. She answered all of my questions and related to me her experience with the treatment she was recommending. I could not be more pleased with the time she spend and the nurses that work in her office. Either she or the nurses review my lab work with me prior to each chemo treatment.

Inconsiderate and judgmental. She did not agree with my personal beliefs nor respect my personal choices. I'm still alive despite her "professional" OPINION

Dr.Robyn Young is pompous, rude,& uncaring. After cancer was discovered by my gynecologist, she told me I would die in 2 to 3 years. That was 4 years ago.I never asked for that information. She just told me. When I recently requested an appointment for a referral to a clinic that helps with lymphedema, her secretary implied I was a bad patient. There was no urgency or compassion 2 help me,even though I was in pain & had an infection in my hand & arm. I was told to wait 5 weeks for an appointment.

I had blood work done and the doctor never reviewed the blood work herself. She had an employee review it. One tumor marker was abnormal and it was never reported to me. The only way I knew was through the patient portal. That is not the thoroughness you want in an oncologist.
