Dr. Robin Houpe, MD

She is amazing! I was with her for all 3 of my kids! The best doctor I have ever had!

Dr. Houpe is a joke, and was a waste of my time seeing her. I had to see her by default as the only Dr. Who had an apt. Available that day for a follow-up apt. She did not listen to me, nor read the chart/report. I had to be stern with her and read her the diagnosis from the notes myself, and then she was clueless about the diagnosis. I left frustrated and with more questions than when I went in. I would not refer anyone to her.

Dr houpe is amazing she is alot better than the last Dr I had and her staff and office is very welcoming as well.. she listens to my questions and is very upfront about things as well as very patient when I try to explain things to her the best way I can..

I had the worst experience with Dr. Houpe. I would never recommend her. She was very rude and didn't actually care about me or my baby. I went in several times telling her things that I felt weren't right with my pregnancy and she just said "that's just pregnancy". But, It was my first baby so I trusted her and thought I was just being dramatic! Well weeks so by and i'm getting way more swollen and gaining tons of weight (I was losing my entire pregnancy) and finally I go in telling her I'm miserable and she said "I think you're fine but we'll do bloodwork just in case." I was 33 weeks and delivered that same day because my liver was failing. I had Preeclampsia that she didn't catch and then later turned to HELLP syndrome! It could've been diagnosed waaaaay sooner when I was telling her all my symptoms but SHE DID NOT LISTEN!! After I delivered my baby, she came in the room and said "I'm so glad we did bloodwork, I knew something was wrong!" I will never go back to her again!

Would not recommend this doctor! Very cold, unprofessional, uneducated, and very rough with the exam! I’d been having heath problems that intermingle with the female reproductive system (other doctors have confirmed) she said that these symptoms were not related when we’ve discovered they were. Didn’t explain the procedure and was rough with the instruments and couldn’t even finish the exam. Extremely painful and left me sore for the rest of the day. Unprofessional by talking about personal life and over riding my personal values.

If you are looking for a Dr. That is there for you, cares about your baby, and will be there for you and listen to your questions and or needs, this is NOT the one for you. Looking for a new OB at 36 weeks is the last thing you want to do! Ps she also will not remember that she just spend the last 5 days stopping your preterm labor! You know why, because she doesn't even show up to the hospital when you're at a 3 in pain. And scared for your babies safety. That's the nurses job! Not hers! She comes delivers the baby, and leaves.

Worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. We had been trying to conceive for 14 months when a friend recommended Robin. Never waited less than an hour, never spent more than fifteen minutes with me. Refused to draw my blood to test hormones stating “we could but it wouldn’t tell us anything” (later found out I had a severe hormone imbalance and PCOS, thanks to a different doctor). Missed dozens of cysts on my ovaries via ultrasound. Performed a laparoscopic surgery to remove endometriosis in which she didn’t remove more than half of it and I had to have the EXACT same surgery less than a year later to get the rest of it. She not only wasted my time and money but more importantly, she stole months of trying to conceive from us because she didn’t do her job right. If you are having difficulty getting pregnant or if you want a dr who cares more about her patients than the money, stay far away from Robin.

Robin was amazing.. She was very thorough and took the time to answer any questions we had. She was very sensitive to our situation.. I would absolutely recommend Robin!

I could not express how much I have loved having Robin as my doctor. You may wait a while to be seen for your appointment; however, it’s worth the wait. Once your back, Robin takes her time with you; giving the attention and answering all the questions you as a patient deserves. She truly cares about her patients. Whenever I had worries while pregnant, Robin never hesitated to have me come in the same day. Phenomenal during labor and delivery. Even on her day off she came in to deliver!

The experience was so painful, stressful, unprofessional, expensive and cold. Late for appointments (>30min). The delivery was completely chaotic. I'm healthy, in late 20s, easy pregnancy, etc. Ended up with an infection, vacuuming baby and in the NICU for a week. Nurses were amazing. Dr and nurse communication poor - something about "needing to make me push for 3 hours before vacuum." Brought in stem cell collection box 2x to appointments; Dr said she knew what to do. Husband had to do did it.

I absolutely love Dr. Houpe. She delivered my first baby, and I am now driving over an hour to and from each visit to go to Circle of Life Women's Center to see her for my second. I completely trust her, and she has wonderful bedside manners. I can tell she truly cares about her patients. There may be times you have to wait, but I can tell you is definitely worth waiting. Dr. Houpe has personally called me before to discuss my concerns after office hours. Not a lot of doctors do that.

Dr. Houpe is the best doctor I have ever had. She was my doctor for 4 years before I got pregnant and was great but to have her for my pregnancies was amazing. With my first pregnancy I had a miscarriage and she was so caring, considerate, answered every question, was so patient with me, and reassured me. Through an awful situation she completely comforted me. With the birth of my baby she took time for every appointment, was thorough, detailed, and persoblnable. Truely a doctor I trust!

If you ever think you'll want/need to be seen urgently, this is likely not the practice for you; they will NOT see you same day, despite telling me they would when I chose them as my provider. Sure, they might be great people and great doctors, but what's the use if their business practices/policies mean they don't have time for patients when they need to be seen.
