Dr. Robert Tome, MD

Dr. Tome has been my doctor for many many years now. When I leave his office, I always feel secure in knowing that whatever the problem was, my doctor will work to find a solution. Whether it be a joint pain or feeling down and depressed. or even talking to him about a personal problem.. I love his kindness and knowledge. He has kept me healthy for many years. I never feel rushed as he takes all the time I need. The staff is also wonderful. I recommend him highly. I gave Dr. TOME a five star review.

They dropped my insurance without telling me. Had complete bloodwork done. I looked up the labs. There were several red flags he did not inform me of. Also prescribes medications without checking interactions, in particular liver, blood sugar, kidney function. He is lazy.

My family has been patients of Dr Tome since he started in this office. As of this wonderful year of 2020, no longer. I visited his office every 3 months for my medication refills, bloodwork and any Other thing Dr Tome decided to over talk me about. I have been on medication he has prescribed for the last 5-10 years. My pharmacy called for refills, I was denied these medications because I needed an office visit which has thrown me into full blown withdrawal of antidepressant, beta blocker (HR over 150) any and all medication. I am in the medical field Also and I have worked during the entire epidemic. He could have given me a limited amount of medication for this requested office visit but of course, that would mean communication with a patient. It’s obvious he didn’t have a care about his patient but his wallet. I would like to thank him for having me involuntarily withdraw, I need him no longer.

He has been my Doctor many years. Always professional and just like family. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been going to this office for a very long time. I feel the scheduling and helpfulness of his office staff has gotten much better over time. Dr Tome is very personable and listens. Dr Tome listens and I have been very satisfied with my treatment and that of his staff.

Dr Tome talks over his patients which makes it impossible for him to listen to their concerns. He makes snap judgements about what could be wrong without considering what the patient actually has to say which lead to the issues not being addressed correctly. I have never met a more arrogant doctor. I would NEVER use this man as a doctor again.

Dr. Tome has been my primary for 15 years. He is a great doctor and personable. His staff gets the paperwork done right the first time. What else could you ask for! Thanks Dr. Tome.

Doctor Tome is a wonderful doctor. He takes his time to listen and is completely updated on your medical history / days complaint prior to your consultation. He has been my parents / close friends and family primary for many years. His staff is caring and knowledgeable, truly like a big family. I would unequivocally recomend Dr. Tome to anyone who desires a great Doctor that values the patents and knows them by name and medical history. Try finding that these days.

I have been going to Dr tome for over 25 years. He has been a great Dr for me and my family. His diagnosis is spot on which makes treatment easy to understand and complete. I personally have had some serious health conditions which of course he recognized sent me to correct specialist and has followed up with me through out my journey. I feel priveleaged to be his patient and can not thank him enough for all he’s done. Great personality to.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tome's for over 20 years. He is a talented physician who is very compassionate and understanding. He is professional and takes the time to listen to your needs. I highly recommend him.

Avoid this doctor. I scheduled a follow up appointment in January and my health insurance plan had changed from Aetna to Florida Blue. As you will see, his site indicates that he accepts Florida Blue. However, I was told that they only take the HMO and not the EPO. They would not allow me to pay cash and discharged me as a patient. When I found a new doctor the first available date for a new patient was in 6 weeks. Dr. Tome would not renew my prescription. Unethical doctor. Do not use.

Disappointed! Went to a Dr that was in Tome office as primary, Went back to see that Dr. but he left and Dr. Tome receptionist would not tell me where my Dr. left to practice at, but quickly said that they would be my primary, but had to set up an appointment, but I was already there for my appointment with my Doctor! I had no choice because I need a primary dr referal to see my specialist. Big mistake, Dr. Tome's receptionist rude and doesn't know what she is doing! Finding a better Doctor!

At first I though he was a great doctor but it's all about the money he has no time to spend with his patient he rushes u out the room and it's a no no to speak to or his NP on the phone if u have documents to be fill out u have make an appointment it's ridiculous I'm very annoyed looking for another doctor at the moment.

Annual physical exams have become very superficial. It would be nice just once to be asked how I'm feeling or do I have any concerns. From one year to the next, long term conditions previously diagnosed by Dr. Tome are news to him each time he rediscovers them. He used to provide more detailed and attentive service. Seems very overbooked. Don't forget to ask your questions while you're there because you're not going to talk to him on the phone. Otherwise make an appointment, pay another co-pay.

Dr Tome takes his time explaining, his staff is friendly and very professional. I recommended Dr. Tome to my friends and family and my son in law became a patient.

Dr. Tome is a polite, caring, kind, magnificent physician, and most importantly, very experience and knowledgeable. I take my elderly mother to Dr. Tome and have for several years. He is always kind and explains procedures to her no matter how complicated or easy to understand. She has total confidence in him as her doctor. My brother and I know our mom is getting the best care.

I would not he is very rude and mean. He used to be a sweetheart i don't know what happened. And the office manager is his wife and she is worse makes the employees miserable
