Dr. Robert Schuster, MD

In 2015, I had the bariatric sleeve. It went well for a few years, and then I got pregnant. I had my beautiful son, and then started having a lot of digestive issues. I had a lot of acid reflux. And food just was not going down or sitting right. Dr. Schuster did an upper G.I.. And found that my sleeve had bent into the shape of an L. We tried medication to see if it would help before having to do anything surgical, but nothing helped. Dr. Schuster converted my sleeve to a bypass, and it helped all of the symptoms that I was having with the bent sleeve. Now, don’t get me wrong, this sleeve is amazing, everyone I know who has had this sleeve has had great results! My situation is different and very rare. But Dr. Schuster was able to help me through this! he is a great guy! And a great doctor!

I’ve utilized Dr. Schusters services since 2017, Dr. Schuster has always been a Dr. with both surgical and bedside skills! You can’t have one without the other and leave feeling confident! He will assist you in anyway he can and will always do the least invasive thing first before diving into surgery, you can talk to him about anything and he always listens and responds. If more surgeons were like him we’d a lot better off. Now let’s not forget his front office staff, they are caring and take the time to ensure your appointments, insurance; and basic needs are net. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Schuster except I wish he was in primary care! Kudos Dr. Schuster you deserve it!

Thank you Dr. Schuster, you gave me my life back!!! Dr. Schuster is a very knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate and caring surgeon. Since the first day I met him, I knew I could trust him. He is very thoroughly when it comes to safety first and makes sure his patients are 100% healthy and ready for surgery. Dr. Schuster and his staff (minions) are the best. I can’t tell you how happy I have been with Dr Rob Schuster. I was on the fence about surgery but considering it because of my uncontrollable diabetes. I kept having to increase the insulin and was worried that I would not be around for my children. After talking with Dr Schuster, I felt at ease with my decision and started my journey. It wasn’t difficult but it did take time. Once I made it through all the preliminary items that insurance requested it was surgery scheduling time. It was laid out perfectly and easy to follow. My nutritionist has helped me every step of the way, and no question was irrelevant. Surgery went well and I followed the plan given to me by Dr Schuster. I have kept a diary of weights along with pictures and lab changes as I lost the weight. My health at 7 months post-op is amazing. I no longer take medication for anything! It’s an amazing change and I didn’t realize how much I was missing in life! I am so grateful for this surgeon! New healthy life!

In 2017 Dr. Schuster performed the gastrice sleeve. After some weight gain I decided to go back for a second consult and after discussion, we decided to go forward with the DS on 11/8/2021. Dr Schuster did an amazing job and his staff has been more than helpful throughout my journey. His dietician Chelsea is extrodenary at helping me aswell. Dr. Schuster and his team are fantastic. They will walk you through every step of your bariatric journey and take excellent care of you. As for my procedure itself, it went perfectly smoothly and my incisions healed beautifully. Dr. Schuster is truly a master at what he does.

I didn't know a Dr could be so rude. My wife, who is blind, was undergoing an endoscopy. After the ~15 minute procedure, he walked into the recovery room for 30 seconds and says "your wife has an ulcer and will need surgery." Then he quickly walked out without another comment. I wanted to ask a few questions. So I ask the nurse to bring him back into the room. He comes into the room, and with each simple question, he says "I will talk about this with you and your wife later when you have your follow-up appointment." He refused to answer and seemed annoyed that I was asking. So, I said, "We will both be at the follow-up appointment but I want to get a couple of answers now, and you should be able to do that." He RESPONDED with "Are you being hostile? Are you being threatening?" And then he responded with "I think you should find another provider!!!" I can't believe how incredulous this "Dr" is and how RUDE he is. As someone who is supposed in a place of authority and who we would depend

Dr. Schuster is amazing! He explains everything in a way that you understand it, is kind and compassionate and takes the time to listen to and answer all of your questions. I couldn't be happier that I chose him as my bariatric surgeon.

I visited Dr. Rob Shuester last year for bariatric surgery. I was so nervous and I had a few questions and Dr. Shuester was patient and kind in answering all my questions and concerns. 6 months later he performed the Gastric Bypass on me and the surgery went phenomenally. I'm on my way to meeting my goal weight and I'm grateful to Dr. Shuester in helping me in that journey.

Doctor Schuster did my pannilectomy I couldn’t be happier! He is a fantastic surgeon and has a very good bedside manner. I highly recommend him. His assistant’s and staff are wonderful as well.

Dr Schuster and his entire office is great! Whenever I have questions, his staff always go out of their way to answer and never make me feel stupid for asking. They are never condensending, and are always super supportive! Dr Schuster himself is one of a kind! He is a good down to earth man that makes the process so easy and not stressful. Always super excited for loss no matter how small. So glad I found him!

Dr Schuster has been phenomenal. He has been taking care of my wife and we both couldn't be happier. He always takes the time to explain things, and always walks her out of the room. 11/10 would recommend again.

Terrible; procrastinates about taking appropriate action to resolves urgent health issues, doesn’t follow up, doesn’t make eye contact, lack of empathy, concerned about his qualifications. Makes statements then contradicts statement.

Surgery went perfect & everything was perfectly planned.

He does great work,super kind. He listens to what I have to say. And he has a great team.
