Great Doctor
His willingness to listen. His advice about my liver was very conservative. My 2 past colonoscopies were effortless and reassured me that the polyps were not dangerous which indicated he knew by just looking and has much experience.

Not likely at all
I have been seeing Dr Rozenweig since 2018, approximately Mostly i have been ok with his service, though he never was a 'friendly' face, and never spent more than 10 minutes or so with each patient. His staff, before the Nuvance takeover, I knew well, and were fine. After recently having been referred to him, by what my Primary doctor thought was Pancreatitis, Dr. Rozenweig had ordered before that visit, stool samples, which I finished and returned to the lab at the local Northern Dutchess hospital. When I saw the dr the next week after, tne nurse was abrupt with me and then staff tried to find results of stool samples which were done in the lab on the same grounds of the hospital. Both his staff then, and he, after seemed to be questioning me about if i had done the tests, and where they were. This was NOT my responsibility, and the Doctor then seemed to blame me and was very rude. I will not be going back to him and have since made an appointment with a gastroenterlogist elsewhere.

IMHO, Dr. Rosenzweig did very well in my case. In 2014 he removed a large cancerous growth during my colonoscopy. He started me on my way to a successful operation at Sloan. I believe he was a big part of saving my life. Just my opinion, do what you will. It's true, Dr. Rosenzweig is not a touchy-feely kind of guy, but to my mind, in my case, I couldn't thank him enough.

“Family History” makes a difference with reimbursement with insurance with colonoscopy. Make sure beforehand, verbally and in BIG letters on form you send back to office to put on bill for insurance. Office put history of colon polyps on form but omitted family history and I was billed a portion of the procedure. Several phone calls to insurance to send back bill for review and adjustment and to office. Hopefully it’s now straightened out.

While Dr. Rosenzweig is not your usual snake oil doctor you find in these parts (trying to sell you their own probiotics and other home treatments), I find his lack of earthy-crunchy demeanor refreshing and based in science and his knowledge of medicine. He ordered me three "standard" tests for his office and an endoscopy/colonoscopy, almost immediately finding out I had fructose malabsorption, a condition NO other gastroenterologist EVER found or tested me for and by removing fructose and high fructose corn syrup from my diet (after 30 years of agony!!!), I have finally become an individual who leads a normal life and doesn't have chronic pain/diarrhea. (Thank you!) As for the office staff, the front desk in Rhinebeck is lacking, but again, this is not the doctor's fault as he is focused on patient care and has three locations. I am just glad I went with my gut (no pun intended) and chose him!

I have had IBS for a few years. Dr. Roszensweig has been, without a doubt, the worst doctor I have ever visited. The poor bed side manners illustrated in previous reviews could not be truer. He did not tell me anything about diet/FODMaps, something my GI was appalled by. He has you in and out as quickly as possible, and is only helpful in regard to prescribing and increasing the dosage of my meds. Dr. Buch will do a lot more for you

God awful doctor with no bedside manner, smug, and does not listen. Had him barred from my room at Northern Dutchess. A first year medical student can do better.

I have had what I thought was IBS for 30 years and seen multiple specialists and doctor who NEVER helped me. Dr. Rosenzweig did four tests and the FIRST one showed I had fructose malabsorption. By removing fructose and high fructose corn syrup from my diet, I am finally living a life without cramps, intestinal pain, diarrhea, and all that those daily symptoms come with. He was always knowledgeable and thorough. He is NOT a hand holder, his Rhinebeck front desk staff may be rude, but this doctor is the real deal. No snake oil here, just real medicine and knowledge. Hard to find in this area. So glad I did!

All Rosenzweig cared about was doing a big ticket colonoscopy. Afterwards, when I had a normal colonoscopy with no obvious issues, he shrugged me off. I have IBS and he didn't give a fig about further treatment. My husband was with me and said that there must be some further treatment available. Rosenzweig gave me a prescription which ended up making my situation worse, as I had side effects. When I called his office, nobody ever called me back.

Terrible experience. Came to doctor with a specific issue, he ordered lab, and reported everything "normal" even though lab reports showed dysfunction, and I still was having problems. Doesn't listen, doesn't read his lab reports. Avoid
