Dr. Robert Newman, MD

This will be my second pregnancy with Dr. Newman. I chose him for the second time, because he will be honest with you and I value and trust his opinion. His staff is amazing and my appointments are always on time, no long waits in the lobby. The front desk greets you like family. The Medical Assistant and staff is always on point. The lobby and bathrooms are extremely clean. A decent and comfortable setting. Check out staff will make your day going out the door, with their smiles, small delightful conversations and appointment follow-ups. This is a place that will make you feel safe and in good hands with your pregnancy journey.

Dr. Newman displayed unprofessional and disrespectful behavior during the time leading up to my delivery. While waiting in the office to be induced, I was crying and upset. He thought that would be the ideal time to ask me if he had ever told me why he became an Ob. I replied no, hoping he would have something inspiring or sweet to say. Not so, he said instead “I had two sisters who were really mean to me growing up and this is my way of getting back at women”. After a failed overnight induction with the on call Ob, Dr. Newman arrived at the hospital first thing in the morning and said we should “throw in the towel” and proceed with a c section. Again with me in tears and fearful after signing the paperwork to proceed, he asked me “do you know what I do to women who have me come in first thing in the morning to perform surgery?” When I responded “no, what?” he said “I give them the vertical incision instead of horizontal one. Your pole dancing days are over”. I am in fact a medical professional not a stripper. It is appalling that he speaks to a patient in the manner. I would NEVER even fathom displaying the atrocious bedside manner he did. These were obviously jokes but your bedside manner when your patient is distressed is atrocious. Do better. Advice to future patients, look elsewhere, he’s not the Ob you want.

I've been seeing Dr. Newman for 30 years which in my mind, speaks for itself. He's been through the gamut with me and he's been nothing short of amazing, caring and genuine. I've referred him to many friends over the years, including my oldest step-daughter. He has a great bedside demeanor, he listens well and explains things in layman's terms. His sense of humor is the best and I am always completely candid and transparent with him because he makes it easy to do so. No matter what stage you're at in life, I would recommend him hands down.

I have been seeing Dr Newman for over 15 years. I am past the childbearing years & his knowledge and experience has been very helpful so many ways! He’s always friendly, kind, and his sense of humor is so appreciate it! I highly recommend Dr Newman for any woman regardless of your stage in life

Dr. Newman is the very best! The office in general is great, but we can't say enough about our experience with him and our first pregnancy. After going through fertility treatments we wanted to find the very best doctor for our needs and after research, he was our first choice. We wanted someone caring but straight forward, which is exactly how he is. Appointments were always professional and straight to the point, but at the same token he always made sure to take the time to answer all of our questions. Our goal was to get the baby here safe, healthy, happy and that's exactly what he did. Looking forward to being his patient again in the future!

Dr. Newman has been my GYN for 25 years in Scottsdale Caring, thorough and the best doctor. I travel all the way from Boise to go to him, as he is irreplaceable!

I would strongly suggest you double check anything Paradise OB-GYN tells you regarding insurance approvals and requirements. I went through 3 invasive pre-requisites they told me needed to be done in order for BCBS to cover a procedure. One of which was a painful biopsy. I had already had 2 of the 3 alleged pre-requisites done 14 months prior and Dr. Newman admitted to me in the office he wouldn't have had me re-do my imaging if his staff would have asked him, but his name is on the order for the imaging. His staff told me my imaging from 2017 had expired and updated imaging was required by BCBS. This has thus far turned out to be false. As far as the biopsy, Dr. Newman told me he didn't understand why it was a requirement of insurance companies and he wouldn't do it on someone my age if it wasn't required by BCBS, yet he performed the biopsy and billed my insurance company. Again, his staff told me it was required in order to have my procedure. This also has thus far turned out to be

Dr Newman is fantastic. Technically, the best OB Gyn I have ever had. I had a very high risk pregnancy that he managed professionally and skillfully. He is incredibly skilled and diligent. Great experience!

Dr. Newman is a very good dr. However, I will never go there again. I was FORCED to pay for his services for my procedure BEFORE it was performed. I was told they had checked with my ins. and what would be allowed for his service and I paid it. I then rec'd an EOB from my ins. and found that I had overpaid by quite a bit. I called to get a refund and was told I would have to wait until they received EOB from my ins. before reimbursing me. Very money driven, not patient driven. Very sad.

I was referred to Dr. Newman by a friend for my first pregnancy. He had a sense of humor, so if you don't find another doc. He delivered my son perfectly and it was no an uncomplicated labor I could have easily needed a c-section, but have the proper advice and my son was born healthy!

I love Dr. Newman, I've been going to him for 15 years. I live 50 minutes away and refuse to change Dr's until he retires. He knows his stuff, honest and very helpful. Pregnant for the first time this past year and he delivered my beautiful daughter this past March and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Highly recommended

I absolutely love this man !!! Best OB/GYN I have ever had. He delivered all three of my children and I wouldn't have it any other way. I recommend him to everyone I talk to. He has a great sence of humor. One of the things I like about him is he doesn't beat around the bush, he tells it to you straight. If you don't like that he isn't for you. I had difficult pregnancies and no matter how upset I was when I got there as soon as I talked to him I felt better.

Horrific-permanent physiological and emotional damage. Pray he's not on call when you go into labor!

Dr. Newman is thoughtful and knows his medicine. I have had occasion to have his diagnoses checked and he was right every time. First rate doctor!
