This doctor took great care of my daughter and probably saved her life. He was fast and listened to me when I told her how sick she was when two other doctors before wouldn’t listen because she had a rare condition that he found immediately. The nurses were really rude tho

Emergency Treatment
I recently visited the Norton Medical Center Emergency facility. I was seen promptly, met a wonderful doctor, Dr. Robert McKnight who diagnosed my condition and treated me with such care and compassion. I felt both safe and comforted in a dire situation.I would recommend this facility and Dr. McKnight to anyone in need of emergency care and am grateful to all.

Refused to order an MRI when I presented with stroke symptoms. Went to another hospital and was admitted for a week. He called me obese and hysterical. He mocked my vocalizations when I grunted in pain (I am autistic).

Dr Robert L McKnight saw me for a total of 8 minutes in the ER of Clark Memorial in Jeffersonville, IN in Dec 2018 which I was being treated for acute pain caused by 2 kidney stones of 2.5 mm and 3 mm. I had requested pain medication to help me pass the stones. In my past, I have passed 4 mm stones before with no problems. Dr. McKnight acted more like a used car salesman trying to up sell me to an overnight stay in the hospital and an immediate surgery the next day with one of his colleagues. I asked the Dr how much this was going to cost and he said "You only live once" to which I responded, "but you don't have to live in poverty" since I had no insurance. I was finally given prescriptions for pain med and was released from the ER to my hotel. I took one pain med and went to sleep. I woke up the next morning in no pain. 2 day later, I passed the stones. This use car salesman then billed me $903.00 for his 8 minutes of service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR and CLARK MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Dr. McKnight wanted to give me what I think would be a fatal dose of medication for anyone. He had never even heard of this med I needed but when I voiced my concern about it being too much, I was scolded and asked Where did I get my medical degree. He's an arrogant person to say the least. Since I've been using this odd med for 20+ years and he had never heard of it and had to look it up somehow, I don't think I need a degree to know more about it than he does!

Very rude and disrespectful. I went by Ambulance to the ER because of severe cramping and vomiting and fainting. He asked me why I came to ER. I explained to him my health issues as stated. He looked at my shirt and told me I had poo poo on it.I was not there to be insulted, I was there for help and treatment. Before I could explain, he went out of the room. Later when he returned I explained to him that the spots on my shirt was from my dog. He said dog poo poo! I said no. From mud on her paws.
