I saw Dr. Laughlin many years ago after an RN friend told me to go see him. I was being treated for asthma & my primary tried every inhaler known & I could not get better. He referred me to a respiratory Dr. who said there was nothing they could do for me & I just had to learn the triggers of my attacks. I coughed uncontrollably & coughed up massive amounts of phlegm. Dr. Laughlin got to the bottom of it & after testing found out I never had asthma, I had Gerd. He got me on the proper meds & I immediately started improving. I would highly recommend him and so glad he thought outside the box. Gerd can mimic Asthma symptoms & Drs need to listen to their patients like Dr. Laughlin to get the right diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Laughlin.

Dr. Addresses the Real issue, Thank you!
Dr. Laughlin was thorough, knowledgeable and helpful. He addressed and I'm on my way to resolution of a health issue that I've had for 20+ years. Other doctors passed it off as asthma, he really listened and discovered the real problem. Thank you Robert Laughlin. Friendly, capable staff who respected the doctor. I was impressed and highly recommend him and his staff.

I once held him in high regard. However I told him I suspected after having chest pain and multitude of symptoms that I had Covid. Insisted I must have ACID REFLUX. Even yelled at me that I was being narrow minded. I have GERD but it has been under control for years. This chest pain was all the way on my right. Acid reflux would not explain the myriad of heart (tachycardia), lung and neurological symptoms (loss of smell, tingling, short term memory loss, etc) I was experiencing. Turns out I had pneumonia with ground glass opacities (characteristic of Covid) he told me the MRI must be wrong. (?!) Went to Cedars Sinai, they said yes. You had it or you had something exactly like it that we’ve never heard of. (Sarcastically. Because the chances of that are ridiculously remote) I feel miles better now, but am still suffering complications. For the love of God, see someone else.

I would never refer this doctor to take care of any patient. We had a daughter that was seen and rudely and carelessly taken care of. It was so bad we told the nurses and doctors to make sure he never came in to her room again, let alone give her, what we considered, the worst medical care I have ever seen.,our daughter died at age 42 after years of brave fighting, beginning at 4 1/2 being diagnosed with an incurable, at the time, cancer. She would go from an absolute genius to a mentally challenged child due to such high doses of radiation needed. She would go on in life doing amazing things and always volunteering to help mentally and physically challenged children and adults. So it is not like she had not been seen by hundreds of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. During years of medical care we would come across someone that we did not care for, although only a few over decades of health care. Dr. Laughlin was hands down the worst healthcare provider EVER!

Dr. Laughlin was performing a lung biopsy on my grandfather. Due to "being overzealous" (his words, not mine), he punctured the lung. My grandfather is currently fighting for his life. Has been hospitalized for a week, with family there around the clock. Dr. Laughlin has not been in at all to speak face to face with us. Not impressed at all.

I spoke to this so called doctor yesterday in the ER. He was extremely arrogant! I asked a question in regards to the health of a love one. He reply was "What does that have to do with anything". Do not waste your time trying to talk to this doctor. He is HORRIBLE!!!

I found him to be very arrogant & unwilling to listen to me. He said I never had asthma even though I was diag. by UCLA & was in & out of the hospital repeatedly due to it. He prescribed meds that had a caution about using if there were kidney issues. I told him beforehand I couldn’t take anything that would harm my kidney. I pd my copay before I saw the caution. He was examining my throat & I told him I was feeling sick. He told me it was “acid reflux”! 2 hours I had a temp of 102. ???? Awful!

First visit 1/2/18 I felt very comfortable when I walked in. The office staff was very friendly, the technician was by far, the best. He helped me a lot. Then I met Dr. Laughlin.. A breath of fresh air to find a physician who truly cares about his patients. There were 3 patients in the waiting room and they couldn't have enough to say about his virtues. I'm happy my physician referred me to him.
