Old School with a Heart of Gold
Dr Jimenez has always taken the time to hear me out and offer solid advice and encouragement throughout some very difficult times in my life. He is older, so he does move a bit slower in keeping up with both properly engaging with me via questions pertaining to my overall well-being and whether or not my medication plan is working properly, while documenting and writing my prescriptions out for me. He’s never pushed additional or alternative medications upon me, regardless of extenuating stressors or circumstances. He’s offered the option to try something different when circumstances deemed it necessary. Despite doing multiple things at once, he’s never skipped a beat in hearing everything I said, by way of providing relevant support, guidance, professional prospective specific to what’s been told to him. His character is one of compassion and I always felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for when interacting with him. Office management is pretty old school, the only downside.

Unprofessional and inaccessible
I have been a patient for over a year. Two months ago Dr. Jimenez made changes to some medications and I had some follow up questions a couple of weeks later. I have left multiple voicemails weekly and not one call has been returned. Additionally, about 50% of the time their voicemail is full and a message can't be left. This office is very old school.. nothing computerized, paper scripts only.. nothing electronic. They only accept cash or checks, so no debit/credit cards. Absolutely no way to reach out after hours or message with any questions or adding an appointment. There's more to add regarding Dr. Jimenez's actual lack of concern or motivation to help severe treatment resistant major depression and severe insomnia, but I'm not going to put that much personal information in a public forum. I have already filed a grievance with my insurance company and they are investigating. The next step is to file a complaint with the medical board and I will do that soon.

I would not recommend him. His office is very chaotic. His office desk & chair are facing away from you in his very tiny office. The last time I was there, he actually fell asleep writing my prescriptions! All he does is write the same or extra, if you ask, prescriptions.

Dr. Jimenez is a very good psychiatrist and knows what he is doing. My son had a very good experience with his first appointment. My son’s quality of life is so, much better since he has began talking to him and receiving 2 medications that work well for him. I wish more doctor’s seemed to care this much and were this experienced in this field.

He’s nice but constantly sleepy during appointments and the fact he prescribed me an antipsychotic for being depressed makes me question about his actual knowledge of drugs he prescribes. I was not on oral supplements of risperidone which is an antipsychotic and I was given a really high dosage injection at 120mg that threw me in the ER twice and caused all sorts of mental issues for me that persist 3 months after injection, I’m still going to the ER for issues and I’m extremely healthy and haven’t had to go so many times in 3 month time period in my life. I also can not find this drug “perseris” anywhere on the web, it has no reviews anymore, it’s terrifying.

In the times of the COVID-19 pandemic, they do not offer virtual meetings with the doctor. The office looked old, and there was no social distancing for the patients in the room. None of the staff were wearing masks. They only accepted cash or checks. I had only my debit card, so the front desk attendant (doctor's wife) instructed me to go to a gas station to get cash. She said they have been doing this successfully for 50 years. When I returned, they never told me that I had lost my appointed time, thus another patient was let in. The lady was very rude. The office was small and I felt very uncomfortable sitting so close to the doctor. He asked a few questions, and brushed me off with a prescription. I went for a second opinion to another psychiatrist who told me those medications were no longer prescribed.

The doctor has ignored my please to side effects, has asked inapproiate sexual questions about children during christmas, since then two of my family memebers have died including one of my pets. His insincerity is nothing compared to breaking the Hypocratic Oath, "First do no harm". I do not recommend this doctor his Ill sight and old age make it plausible he's expiring his patience.

I had a really good experience at my appointment. You can tell he cares and it was overall a really good appointment/ experience. I imagine that some of the low reviews stating that this practice isn't timely, etc., don't really take into account a small local business. My appointment didn't start on time because he was still seeing a patient before me and she came out very pleased with her appointment. I would rather start late, knowing that a doctor has taken all the necessary time he needs with a patient. Especially in the psychiatry field. Especially when you're seeing a vast and diverse population of patients from people with just everyday problems to victims of assault, veterans, etc.

He didn't show up for my scheduled appointment time. When he did finally get to his office, he stated he didn't have an appoint scheduled for that time. He just brushed me off like it wasn't a big deal.
