Voice was not heard
I waited an hour to see Dr hurford. I have been upset because I tried to get him to see my side as a patient about the thorasic pain, that i have had since 2019. This was brought up to Vanceburg, and Dr. Moore since 2019. I felt like I was not heard. He had seen my recent 2024 SPEC scan which shows inflammation down the spine. He did acknowledge that. But nothing else was brought up about my SPEC scan results. Which, they had send me to get this done, and mind you, it took months to get it done and to wait around months to see him for results. All he said was to get the spinal cord stimulator. I don't want a bandaid. I want it permanently addressed. He did an SI fusion for me which helped. Not sure why my thorasic can't be reviewed better. I have literally complained about this thorasic issue since 2019. Something needs to be addressed. I'm in worse pain then 2019. Already had PT, and injections.

Lumbar
It took 2 years for me to finally give in and get operated on after I could not sit or stand for 5 mins. I was worried about getting operated down and things getting worse. But right after the operation I realize I can walk again without severe pain. I was operated on in 2017 and it's 2024, and I can run, ride motorcycles, plant kayak or do what I want which is a miracle. I went from living in severe pain and not wanting to live, to enjoy my life in peace and living again. This doctor has changed my life completely and I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Hurford's one of the best.
Dr. Hurford performed prior surgery on me, and he did a wonderful job. I am going back to have another operation and never considered using another surgeon. Doc's the best he diagnosis the problem, good communicator explaining it and how he was going to fix it. Best of all he fixes it.

Dr Hurford was great! Very informative and took time to explain everything. I felt like he was helping me make the right decision for surgery…never pushing me. Very glad I went to see him!

He wasn’t very friendly. It was like he had no concern. I really don’t know just how to describe him. My family doctor has told me more about the MRI than he did. I left the office feeling like I really don’t want to see him again!!!
