DCF
A family member recently brought her newborn (premature) son to see Ophthalmologist Dr. Robert Gise and witnessed some concerning, risky and unprofessional behaviors. Dr. Gise was going child to child, in the waiting room, dilating each of their eyes. Never did he stop to wash his hands or sanitize. Instantly she knew she'd be bringing her son elsewhere. Days later, she secured a new office and called the office of Dr. Gise to cancel her son's follow up, as she no longer needed his services. Shortly after, Dr. Gise himself, called and threatened that if she did not bring her son into the appointment with HIM he would be calling DCF. This is absolutely disgusting and ridiculous that Dr. Gise feels he's the only Ophthalmologist in Massachusetts who can see her newborn. I'm appalled and alarmed by his unprofessionalism and truly don't even believe he should be able to continue practicing. Save yourself a visit and protect your child from Dr. Robert Gise!

If i could give negative stars I would. impatient
Horrible experience. My toddler was having a tough day after waiting for so long, having lights shined in their eyes and the doctor spent two minutes with him and exclaimed he couldnt do the examination. This is someone who is supposed to be good with children working in pediatrics. He was very cold and didnt explain anything, just dismissed us and went along with his day.

I am pretty sure he is a good doctor but he is unprofessional. I have 18 month triplets and their appointment got cancelled 3 times. It seems that his office sets up the appointment but cancels it on the day of the appointment saying doctor is busy or sick or has other emergency business. For a parent of 18 month old triplets, it does not work well that doctor keeps on cancelling appointment the very morning they are supposed to be taken in.
