disrespect
I waited 2 months for a visit and the day before they called me to reschedule. They rescheduled for a month later. If a person is trying to make an appointment, it is because they are not well and need medical help. Another month of suffering until the day of the visit arrives, he calls and cancels again. Total disrespect for his patients.

Left without any notice
I was a patient of Dr. Furr's for several years, had several procedures, inter stim implant. He left town(Chattanooga), never letting me know or any other patient know what was going on. I had to find out in the elevator talking to his old nurse, she said he left and is in Florida. So, thanks for letting me know Dr. Furr, very unprofessional.

Called a week and 1/2 ago to discuss medications and they still haven’t returned my call. I called again after a week and still no response. For some reason, the staff have been less friendly, competent and professional since they have moved to East Ridge.

I lost my hair. Thanks Dr. Furr
At my first meeting to discuss my pelvic pain, Dr. Furr insisted I begin taking hormones (completely unrelated) I took them but he gave no care to discuss the risks of this medication. That would have been a huge help since I live with a Traumatic Brain Injury and am hoping doctors take this into consideration. Not Dr. Furr. I’ve lost nearly half of my hair due to the high level of testosterone I was given. Never going back and have a specific hormone doctor to help me wean off the medication. I’m going to spend so much money trying to get my hair back, my emotional health back and I don’t feel comfortable in public. I’ve lost so much hair, my scalp shows revealing a giant scar from a craniotomy after my severe traumatic brain injury. Dr. Furr did not do his job at all with regards to informing me about possible side effects. Now I’m so ashamed of how I look, it’s cascading down to every part of my life.

Don’t even waste your time
This office is the worst !!! Waited months for an appointment…then they changed the insurance policy without notification …. Does not care to listen to the patient or their wants …. Suggested medication that the patients have already tried and new it didn’t have the desired effect needed for HRT….

Dr. Furr is absolutely amazing!! He actually cares about his patients. He took a good amount of time going over the upcoming surgery and my options. (this was #15 surgeries for me, but my FIRST with Dr. Furr) I wished I had found him 20yrs ago. I trust him with everything I have. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him especially if you have Interstitial Cystitis.

He’s a genius. My surgery has given me back my life. After years of being blown off my doctors, he helped me. I wouldn’t see anyone else. I feel grateful to have found him. I’m very thankful to his nurse practitioners for explaining things to me and being patient with me. It’s been a long road of pain and depression throughout my endometriosis. I finally found an office that cares.

Dr. Furr listens, he explains well. Patient - provider relationship is very good. He helped me during an emergency after surgery where I wasn't able to go into his office. My Aunt went and got the medication for me. Very pleasant gentleman.

Excellence All Around!! Dr. Furr is a wonderful provider! Very attentive and caring. After years of no answers from any other doctor or specialist, my first visit with Dr Furr’s NP was encouraging that I’d finally found a provider’s office that genuinely cared about their patients and their needs! I was scheduled a follow up appointment with Dr Furr and ultimately scheduled for endo surgery. He also listens to and asks questions about multiple female-related disorders and will treat accordingly following the highest evidence-based practices available. All staff have been wonderful and I’d recommend Dr Furr and his office to any female seeking answers and treatment for any female-related disease process! Only wish I’d found him earlier in life!

I was a patient for over 8 years and absolutely loved Dr. Furr. Then he stoped seeing regular, non-surgical patients for their yearly exams and pretty much pushed us off onto the practitioners, who are fine for what they do but I had a gynecological problem for a year and all they did was keep changing my hormones. The problem never went away. When I asked to see the actual Dr I was told the problem was not a surgical problem and they could handle it. Needless to say I was fed up with receiving no help and went to another Dr who solved the problem within the first visit, a problem his practitioners couldn't help for a year and no it was NOT a hormone problem. I can't believe such a fine Dr as Dr Furr would stop seeing regular patients. He should only advertise himself as a surgeon and no longer accept yearly's if he's not interested in helping us. I feel betrayed after 8 years of excellent service.

Dr. Furr saved my quality of life. My PNE pain had gotten so bad, at times I could not drive my suv or even walk without tripping or having so much nerve pain I just wanted to lay down and cry! My endo was done with a different gyn in 2017 and it was stage 4 then. Dr. Furr found it damaged and did a nerve decompression and released the nerve. I am ever so greatful. Pelvic pain pain is no joke and often overlooked, and not ever treated. If I didn't get help it was starting to make me depressed and I am the happiest person ever. The pain stole my life and robbed me of my smile and my life. So its more than thank you Dr. Furr. You have changed my life!!!

It was my first and last visit! My dr retired and upon research I discovered this practice. I went in for a yearly check up ( which only the practitioners perform) and ended up being charged $247! NEVER have I been charged this for a routine checkup! Outrageous!

I drove 3 hours to see Dr. Furr. From our first appointment, he showed professionalism, knowledge of endo like I have never seen, and compassion. This was the first doctor who genuinely listened to me, cared about me, and believed me. We scheduled excision surgery that day! I’m one week post op and this has been the best experience ever. Dr. Furr showed the same care in post op as he did before and because of that I was able to have everything I needed to give me a smooth recovery. He’s very meticulous and takes his time. Not only is he incredible, but the entire staff has been as well. From the moment you walk in, until the second you leave you’re treated with nothing but kindness. I can not recommend him enough or thank him enough for giving me my life back.

I traveled six hours from North Carolina to see Dr. Robert Furr for surgery. I had to wait 3-4 months between my consult and actual surgery. He and his office were wonderful at communicating with me during this time. The surgery itself went great, I was checked on every morning while I was admitted, and I was not pushed to leave until I felt comfortable doing so. The level of care that Dr. Robert Furr has given me is beyond anything I ever experienced. I was hesitant to have a doctor who is out of state, but I would not change a thing. We have been in contact very frequently since my surgery. I am having other issues that he is keeping an eye on. He is the most thorough doctor I have ever had, as well as patient and properly concerned about his patients' concerns as a whole. If you are considering having him as your surgeon or doctor, I literally can't recommend him or praise him enough. He has saved my life and turned everything around for me.

I went to Dr. Furr for endometriosis excision surgery. Since my surgery my symptoms are much worse and everytime I contact his office for advice I am told that I need to track my ovulation and go see a gastroenterologist for my issues. I understand missing some endometriosis during surgery but the lack of follow up and concern after a failed surgery is dissapointed to say the least.

I was really impressed with Dr. Furr at my first visit. I scheduled my hysterectomy and rectocele repair with him. My surgery was a NIGHTMARE!!! I was sent home with a bladder not working without my knowledge. I was rushed back in severe pain 2 days later. They drained 2.5 liters of urine off my bladder. I now have the effects of bladder damage from this surgery and I'm so screwed up with my bowels too! It's been almost a year and I'm in horrible pain everyday! He will take no blame. Stay away!!

I worked with doctors for 20 years and was literally butchered by 2 doctors who I trusted and were well known to me. By the time I finally let someone look at me again I had bladder mesh growing out of me. I am a Vet so I had to go throu the VA. GOD sent me to Dr. Furr...that is the only way I can explain it. He not only fixed me, but completely reversed the affects from these bad bladder surgeries during one surgery. Thank GOD for Dr. Furr and thank GOD he takes Vets because most of them won't.
