This doctor ruined my eye sight. After cataract surgery I got double vision (usually occurs when hitting a muscle during surgery, ghosting at night, dry eyes, infection, and too many more to list. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this doctor and this department.

I waited over two hours. Never saw the doctor. Had the staff page his techs. They didn't know what was going on. Walked out and will never return.

I'm an ICU nurse. I actually do some research before I talk to my doctor. I did not find him very knowledgeable. I asked him about different laser technologies that I had read about on other doctor's websites and he said he didn't know anything about it. I just had the impression that he could not be bothered. Had my surgery at a place that had the laser I asked him about. I see great - better than 20/20. I think Feder needs to work on his bedside manner and his knowledge base.

I have been his patient for over 10 years. Just left his office only to hear, as an aside, oh by the way, you have early macular degeneration. He said this to me in the hallway as he was leaving to visit his next patient. I tried desperately to ask questions however, he apparently had other thing son his mind. I am 64 y/o and have mentioned blurred vision to Dr. Feder for years. DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH HIM. I will be writing a letter to the Chief of Staff and Hospital Administrator.

Dr. Feder is very professional and knowledgeable. He takes an authentic interest in his patients and stays with them to answer any questions. For afternoon appointments, the wait to see him is longer than during morning appointments, so I would recommend scheduling morning appointments. He is an excellent doctor, though.

Dr. Feder has outstanding credentials and expertise, but more importantly, he is a genuinely kind & compassionate person. I am very squeamish about anything relating to eyes, but he was extremely understanding and reassuring when I needed cataract surgery; he accommodated my terror without making me feel foolish. He is also a superb educator -- both in that he regularly incorporates medical students into the eye clinic, and also in that he is very willing to explain things to me.
