Misdiagnose severe ear infection
I saw Dr. Collin’s in the ER. I went there instead of a Doc in the box because I wanted an expert opinion. I had lost 40% of my hearing. Dr Collin’s said my problem was due to a buildup of wax and recommended an OTC wax removal. Turned out I got seen by my ENT right away and was diagnosed with fluid in the eardrums, and I require a CTC, a hearing test to be sure it’s not viral which would result in permanent hearing loss. Oh. And I was immediately put on an antibiotic. This is not the experience what I would expect from an ER physician.

Misdiagnosed a severe ear problem that had resulted in 40% of a hearing loss. He treated me in the ER at CHOMP. He said I had a wax buildup and recommended an OTC ear wax treatment. Saw my private doc and turns out I have a severe ear infection with fluid on both ears. A CTC and hearing test will be ordered, and my doc immediately put me on an antibiotic.

He has no bedside manner is sarcastic and rude. This was the worst experience I’ve had with any medical provider.
