No Testing, No Effort to Read Patient History
Dr. Chong put little effort into testing, and no effort into treatment, when seeing my little grandson, age 5 years, who has been ill (often very ill) off and on for 4 months now. I felt like our precious baby was just being ignored by Dr. Robert Chong, and left to suffer without testing, without even looking at our grandson's patient history (his current symptoms and those of his recent many illnesses), and definitely not any treatment - which could only happen if Dr. Chong showed the necessary skill and concern to READ the history and ORDER the tests. I'm so deeply displeased with Robert Hanul Chong, M.D. at this practice, and I only hope that a fully competent pediatrician, read to put in the TIME and (not really all that much needed) EFFORT to find the issues and start a safe and effective treatment. Robert Chong, M.D., is -NOT- the doctor I would recommend to anyone with an ill child, based on our family experience, and our little 5-year-old's very LOW Standard of Care.

I wish Dr. Chong cared enough to try harder
My grandson received very poor care from Dr. Robert Hanul Chong, who just didn't seem to care enough to read my daughter's careful notes on the progression of the 5-year-old child's illness. Dr. Chong refused any reasonable testing beyond a throat swab for strep. Very bad experience with a doctor who gives you the strong impression he would rather -not- be treating patients. I'm just sorry that my poor little 5-year-old grandson must suffer because of Dr. Chong's non-benign neglect. ANY other doctor will likely serve your child much better than Dr. Robert Chong.

Just Keeps Getting Worse Each Visit... Seriously!
I felt my toddler was not served to the 'standard of care' that AdventHealth brags about having in its 'Patient's Bill of Rights' that it posts everywhere. No attention paid to parents. Only cursory exams. He's nice enough to my toddler, except when it comes to testing and prescribing treatment. This is based on more than one visit - and Dr. Chong has just gotten progressively worse over the years. NOT A CARING PHYSICIAN - maybe he has lost his desire to put in the effort, or maybe something else, but I do not recommend him after many visits and firsthand disappointment. It's very sad to see...

Does Not Seem to Want to Be Providing Care
Not a minor complaint. This doctor just doesn't seem to put in much time with the patient, and we get vague descriptions of excuses for why he does not want to test for what's wrong, much less provide any treatment. Repeated instances of this. We cannot recommend Robert Chong in any way.

I felt belittled by pompous know-it-all
This doctor, Robert Hanul Chong, does not want to hear about what I've observed in my child's illness, or what he has been sick with before. Talks down to me. I think he does not even bother to look at past visits. He missed a diagnosis twice, the second time being potentially harmful. It's not right to be so hurried. My toddler deserves better. Yours does also.

His motto is 'DO NO WORK' instead of 'Do No Harm'
Dr. Chong's approach to medicine is 'DO NO WORK,' as opposed to 'do no harm.' Frankly, I've never met a pediatrician so adept at AVOIDING DOING HIS JOB. He does not want to TEST. He does not want to LISTEN to patient history. He certainly does not want to TREAT ILLNESS. He does record-time fastest, LEAST THOROUGH physical exam of any pediatrician I've ever met, and I've known quite a few over the years having kids and now grandkids I'm raising.I recommend AGAINST bringing your child to be (barely) seen by Robert Hanul Chong, M.D.

Dr. Chong ENDANGERED OUR CHILD not once but TWICE. Does not listen to patient history - refused to read a very brief description of symptom progression in our very sick 5-year-old over a 6-day period and dismissed our concerns. REFUSED TO EVEN DO TESTING - because he didn't know the patient history, which, IF HE HAD READ IT, would see our child had required 6 prior visits to doctors this year for serious illnesses including STREP (twice!) and PNEUMONIA.On our first negative episode, I had to browbeat Chong into prescribing an antibiotic for an obvious upper respiratory infection in the lungs - despite his trying to dismiss the phlegmy cough as 'asthma,' a condition our child does not have. That episode ended without injury because of the antibiotic, but Chong brazenly, POMPOUSLY told me I'd be back in a week to admit the problem is asthma. It was INFECTION.Parents know a LOT about their children but Chong won't listen, so he can't treat properly. YOU WANT THIS FOR YOUR CHILD?

We love Dr Chong! He cares for our three children and is as good a pediatrician as there is. He’s professional, knowledgeable and accessible with great bedside manner. He doesn’t overreact nor does he dismiss issues we bring to him; and our kids are kids which means we call or visit him and his practice a lot. He is extremely levelheaded and thorough and we highly recommend him.

Dr. Chong is very friendly, he talks to kids not down to them. He listens to parental concerns and remembers my daughter even though he typically sees her for well child only.
