Dr. Robert Adams, MD

I hear people talking about seeing a world class orthopedic surgeon, I feel as though we have a world class orthopedic surgeon in Glenwood Springs. Dr. Adams along with his staff are the best. I chose to go to Dr. Adams for knee replacement from a recommendation. Currently 6 months post surgery and have been back to full work and play schedule for 3 months with minimal swelling and sourness.

I had a complete hip replacement done in May of 2021. I am back to being active and out of pain. Dr. Adams and his staff made this life changing procedure a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend him to others,

Dr Adams is an excellent surgeon.I had two hip replacements by Dr Adams in 2020, one at the end of May and the other in September and I have been skiing 5 days a week since Christmas, working out in the gym daily. This doctor and his staff are a top shelf group. They encouraged questions and explained the procedure in detail. Great experience, definitely go.

Dr Adams and his staff were knowlegdeable, accessible, and very personable. I was easy to get a same day appointment. I received excellent and personal care. I felt like a person and not just a number. They were always available to answer my questions.

I was treated poorly by Ike, Dr. Adam's Physician Assistant. Additionally, I was told they were in my insurance network; however, I receive my EOB from my insurance company for my visit with Adams Orthopedic, it showed that they were OUT OF MY NETWORK and that the entire bill was payable by me. REWIND that was the FIRST thing I clarified with the front desk before attempting to schedule. I called to discuss my bill and received a return call from Alex. When I reiterated all the above to her, her response literally blew my mind. She BOLDFACE LIED TO ME and said that she had told me that they may no longer be in-network with BCBS and that I decided to schedule anyways. When I explained that I could not be more certain that was not the case she became very unprofessional. I said I didn't want to get into it with her and she then interrupted me and said, "oh you were getting into it all right" - I have never had such an unprofessional interaction from a health care provider.

Do not care for him not his practice. Go elsewhere. I have Medicaid and although the front office scheduled me with Dr Adams, I waited for hours to see him, only to learn from his PA, who clearly has anger management issues, that he only takes one Medicaid patient per week. How is that legal? I was scheduled with another dr on the practice, who conveniently speaks Spanish, but went to Grand River and am back walking my neighborhood again and going to Bunko with friends.

Dr. Adams is very confident in himself as a man. I do not enjoy that type!
