My son went in for right ear pain that he had the day before. The doctor said he would remove ear wax to get a view inside the ear. When he couldn't take much out to view his ear for infection, he decided to ask me to hold down my child while he picked at my son's ear and consequently scratched his ear canal, causing him to bleed. I visited the doctor to make sure my son's ear was OK, not for my son to get hurt while visiting the doctor. This has caused my son to repeatedly say he does not want to visit the doctor. I am disappointed, and it's unacceptable how the doctor handled the situation. Instead, he should've referred me to an ENT to remove the excess ear wax properly. A quick Google search about ear wax removal gave me these results: most earwax naturally comes out on its own, and attempting to remove it can damage the ear drum or push the wax further in. I am not sure why the doctor felt the need to unproperly handle this appointment and do something he is not adequately tr...

I had a concern about my child's development that was flagged on the state of Connecticut sparkler ASQ survey. Dr did listen to my concern and attempted to make some suggestions but they were unrealistic. Later I saw in her chart that the developmental survey I completed in the office also flagged the same concerns though this was not shared with me during the visit (even though the after care notes say it was discussed with me). In the end I decided to do a birth to 3 referral. Dr A said he was going to put one in but I don't know if it actually was put in or not as I got a call the next weekday regarding the referral I put in but no mention of one put in by the pediatrician.

Quality treatment and care with a smile!
Dr. Adamenko provides quality medical care with a humane interaction, each time, every time! My son has been seeing him for the past 6 years and we continue to take him to Glastonbury despite having moved several miles away! We have also provided referrals to several of our friends to this kind and knowledgeable doctor. Thanks Dr. Adamenko!
