Dr. Ritu Cuttica, DO

Dr. Ritu Cuttica has been my primary physician for over 4 years and is an excellent example of a doctor who goes above and beyond for her patients. I recently had my annual physical, and Dr. Cuttica was so thorough with her examination. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns, asking detailed questions to understand my medical history and any current issues. Her attentiveness makes me feel not just like a patient, but a valued individual with unique needs. Dr. Cuttica goes the extra mile to ensure that all aspects of my health are considered. She doesn’t miss ANYTHING. She takes the time to discuss preventative measures and changes that could positively impact my overall well-being. I look for that type of honesty and quality in a doctor and you should also! Dr. Cuttica demonstrates a rare blend of professionalism and empathy and has set a benchmark for what I believe a patient-physician relationship should look like.

Dr. Cuttica is a wonderful doctor who has an excellent bedside manner. She has been my primary doctor for a few years and I'm so glad I switched. She is thorough and patient with any questions I might have about issues. She goes through all my lab results and explains them, which is so nice since most doctors don't take the time to do that. She seems to have my best interests at heart and that is a good feeling the older I get. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who cares and takes time with you.

Dr. Cuttica is everything that a doctor should not be: cold, uninterested in hearing about concerns, quick to dismiss, and has NO bedside manners. I scheduled a visit and it lasted maybe 4-5 minutes. I had a stomachache and instead of trying to hear me, she immediately dismissed me to let me know I should go to an ED. Sure, that may be helpful but I'm paying for this visit and I would have at least appreciated her listening to when I started experiencing pain, what it could be, and providing some assurance because I was clearly unwell. Instead, within the first sentence out of my mouth, she told me to go to an ED and was not even pretending to be helpful. When I did go to an ED, they told me it was a very obvious case of food poisoning and gave simple antibiotics. Which Dr. Cuttica could have prescribed if she listened to what I was trying to share. She is the only doctor that has a very open availability at this practice, and the reasoning is very obvious. RUN FROM HER. Also, this is the first review I've left about any healthcare provider - she is that terrible.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cuttica for almost 3 years. She is a fantastic Doctor - very professional, knowledgeable, thorough and takes her time to understand the problem without rushing me out. Dr. Cuttica is always willing to answer any questions while treating me with respect. She's so easy to talk to and always makes me feel comfortable. By far the best! This is how Doctors should be . I can’t thank her enough.

Dr. Cuttica is caring, professional, and completely thorough. I don’t need to ask questions because she provides comprehensive information up front and anticipates what I need and want to know. I never feel rushed, but I also value her efficiency in how she conducts the appts. because my time is limited. I am a fairly well-informed ‘consumer’, and I always feel that Dr. Cuttica speaks to me in a manner that respects my knowledge. She provides constructive feedback without talking down to me or ‘scolding’. The older I get, the more I appreciate the value of an excellent physician. I am grateful for Dr. Cuttica

Dr. Ritu Cuttica has extensive clinical knowledge and an excellent Doctor / Patient manor. She is genuinely concerned about her patients and encourages the appropriate follow up so that her patients achieve the proscribed results. I personally lost over 90 pounds during six months following her simple but effective lifestyle advice. Wholeheartedly recommended as one of the best practicing physicians in Northern Virginia!

Dr. Cuttica is condescending and blamed me (diet and hydration) for the problems I sought her help with. As it turned out, there were things actually wrong with me that were not related to diet and hydration. If I'd listened to her, I'd still be suffering.

I have never had a doctor I felt so comfortable with. She is knowledgeable and understanding. She is professional and personable. A perfect combination. The office staff had also been lovely and responsive.

I went to this doctor because my body was swelling massively looking like I gained a ton of weight in a few weeks. Her reaction to it was (and this was echoed verbally by her staff) ‘You’re fat, lose weight’. Turns out I had a leaky gut and mild Hashimotos which caused my body to swell. Stay away from this ‘doctor’. If I could give negative stars for this doctor I would.

Dr. Cuttica is great. She's friendly and personable, as well as very knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable discussing any health concerns with her. While the office is busy, I don't feel like I ever have to wait long to see her. One time I needed to get in on short notice, and I went to her PA instead. She was also great to work with, and I would have no hesitancy in seeing her again either.

I originally saw her for a physical. I thought she was great. I had been to an emergency care center recently. She said to use her next time. I called recently for an appointment due to a medical problem. I was told she had no appointments this week, but she would get back to me. She called back within an hour with an appointment for this afternoon. She is the best.
