Dr. Rina Awan, MD

I was referred to Dr Awan for a pulmonary and sleep issue. She was the second pulmonologist that was referred to me. I begrudgingly went and after several tedious tests she found the solution to my problem. With a change of medication and a cpap machine. I haven’t felt this good in decades. The staff is wonderful and professional as well. A shout out to Shannen who tried to resolve a miscommunication by going the extra mile. Luckily, a compromised was reached and her extraordinary kindness was not needed.

Very professional and thorough

I have visited two other doctors of pulmonary however this doctor was different. I recently was hospitalized for Covid and upon discharge I needed to follow up with a Pulmonary physician. The one that was listed on my discharge papers didn’t have a clinic. So I called the hospital’s directory and chose Dr.Awan… immediately I recognized her as one of the physicians that visited me in the hospital. I felt at ease. She has a intelligent bedside manner and is efficiently thorough in my care. Her staff is incredible. From the front office to the back office this office runs on one accord. They are very knowledgeable and dependable but most of all polite. I recommend Dr.Awan for all your pulmonary needs. Try them you won’t be disappointed!

Very friendly staff, some wait time but was well worth the visit. Amazing doctor! excellent bedside manner and very caring and thorough.

Staff is incensitive to new Covid patients, and ill prepared to advise and prep for follow up appointments, Unprofessional.

Family was in hospital and she never once visited them. Only saw them on television screen. Unfortunately it’s probably the reason they passed. The nurses said that Matagorda let’s her run the hospital on a television screen but never coming to visit them. The fact that this is allowed shows how crappy this place is. The top people should not allow this behavior.

Dr. Awan was so nice and so thorough. She really seemed to be just as eager as I am to figure things out! Not to mention, her staff was super nice too!

Dr. Awan is passionate, caring, knowledgeable and understanding. I have so much respect for her and wish her all the best.

I've seen numerous pulmonologist. She is by far the best. She's very caring and kind. I think I'm on my way to getting better. She really does seem to care.

Dr. Rina is very thorough and knows her stuff. She is very patient and compassionate about what is going on with you.She doesn't have a problem answering your questions. If you don't understand, She will always explain. Her office staff is very good. I have recommended friends to Dr. Rina, and they are happy. God bless Dr. Rina.

Good knowledge and very caring. She actually listens compare to the other doctors who seem to just rush in.
