Dr. Rifat Zaidi, MD

I was pretty apprehensive about having my knee replaced... after watching some surgeries online, I realized what a giant deal it was! Dr. Zaidi was absolutely amazing! I had my surgery - did some prehab, and was back at the gym 3 weeks post surgery!!! It's improved greatly over the past year, and today I had my 1-year follow-up where I was able to report my knee is about 98% improved! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Zaidi for his expertise, his knowledge & his kind soul. If you're pondering having it done, don't wait - post-replacement life is amazing...

Dr Zaidi did my hip replacement in August and I have been thrilled with the outcome. He is a very kind and caring physician. Great bedside manor. Explains everything inspite of 40+ years in nursing. I highly recommend him.

I had a very bad compound fracture in my wrist and it required surgery. Dr. Zaidi and the excellent team at Miles Hospital repaired the damage with a titanium plate. I was treated with incredible kindness and professionalism. My recovery has been quick and with very little pain. I am very happy that I chose Dr. Zaidi for the surgery. Everyone at Miles Hospital was a top-notch professional. I am very grateful for their care and empathy.

Dr. Zaidi is a superb surgeon. We had been monitoring my right hip for several years when I sought him in late October because I could not walk. He was able to conduct hip replacement surgery in early November and I am now enroute to a full recovery. Dr. Zaidi cares deeply about his patients. He chats with you vice lecturing, and all conversations are marked with warmth and sincerity. His professionalism and integrity are unquestioned. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Zaidi and his staff.

I have had three surgeries with Dr. Zaidi at Miles Hospital in Damariscotta. I have two new knees and a new hip. I have my life back. I would highly recommend Dr. Zaidi, Lincoln Medical Partners and Miles Hospital. I spent a majority of my professional life working at a hospital in Boston. The care I received from my first appointment until my final discharge today, was superior. Hats off to Dr. Zaidi and Miles Hospital.

I would highly recommend Dr Zaity to friends a family. He recently performed arthoscopic surgery on my right knee which was very succesful and i am rapidly returning to normal. My wife and I have both used Dr Zaity for various ills. He has an excellent and friendly way of talking to his patients. He has a very nice sense of humor which makes visits more comfortable.

About 5 years ago, Dr. Zaidi did 2 hip implants for me with excellent results. Life-changing for me. I went back in December 2020 for knee issues. He and his entire team were extremely professional and thorough. A cortisone shot was administered with no discomfort and improvement is evident just days after treatment. It is great to have excellent medical doctors right here in mid-coast Maine.

I've had orthopedic problems for most of my adult life. Dr. Zaidi was one of several orthopedic surgeons I'd seen since moving to Maine. He gave me the most thorough examination I'd ever had and explained my various options. I chose to have him perform a total (right) knee replacement in June 2018. It was the best decision of my life! After decades of pain, I can now walk without pain. I ride my stationary bike 30 minutes a day. Dr. Zaidi gave me my life back. He is a supremely competent surgeon, but, equally important, he is kind and sympathetic. For any orthopedic problem, I highly recommend Dr. Rifat Zaidi! I would also like to mention that I'd been evaluated at the well-known Rothman Orthopedic Institute in Philadelphia, by Dr. Rothman himself. He was nowhere near as thorough nor as helpful to me as Dr. Zaidi.

I had a total Hip Replacement on Feb. 12 with Dr. Zaidi. I have been very pleased with the surgery. No pain ever. I would not like to say that I am extremely pleased with the info I got before as well as after surgery. Explained everything to my satisfaction Would highly recommend Dr. Zaidi

So happy with my new total hip done recently at Miles Hosp by Dr.Zaidi! My preop, surgical, and hospital experience was excellent. Dr Zaidi reviewed all aspects of the surgery with me. I felt confident he'd do his best for a great outcome. There are many choices for total hips now, so am glad I chose him and could stay local for the surgery. As the saying goes, "you have to trust your doctor." And that I do. Coming from a medical family, I highly recommend Dr. Zaidi. He's an experienced and talented surgeon of integrity. I nearly severed part of my thumb last September. I was referred to Dr.Zaidi who performed an emergency two hour surgery in an attempt to avoid amputation and preserve function. Dr. Zaidi is a wonderful physician. He was compassionate and honest about my prognosis and closely monitored my progress. His gentle sense of humor was greatly appreciated. I am happy to report my thumb is intact and continues to heal. I live in NJ but drove to ME several times to remain in his care. Excellent doctor!

Dr. Zaidi is the best orthopedic surgeon that I have ever had. He is very skilled and a really down-to-earth kind of doctor. He will always explain how your problem can be corrected and give possible options if there are any.

An unexpected need for a hip replacement resulted in a very positive experience. Dr. Zaidi's skill in performing an anterior lateral procedure was augmented by the use of Exparel (a non-narcotic, long-lasting pain reliever). This anterior procedure requires more time in surgery; but because no muscles are cut in the process, the recovery and rehabilitation time are greatly reduced. I highly recommend Dr. Zaidi for his expertise . He is a highly skilled and compassionate surgeon. My thanks.
