Dr. Hartwig has very reassuring bedside manners, and wonderfully & effectively accommodated my special needs through a procedure! Can’t sing his praises high enough!

Procedure Fine, Report Inaccurate
Dr. Hartwig inaccurately assigned me a rating stating I was a patient with a severe disease. I am not diagnosed with a disease. This procedure and my other doctors verify I do not have any current diseases. I have had other procedures with anesthesia and have never been rated as a patient with a severe disease. When talking with Dr. Hartwig he stated he was not willing to change the rating to a level indicating I am a healthy adult. He saw me for a very short time on a table. He did not have any way to accurately assess any of my current states or abilities. His rational was akin to saying because someone had a prior injury or issue, they can currently be considered impaired. Using a global rating scale to describe a patient with broad categories is inappropriate and archaic in medicine. I caution others thinking they may want to use Dr. Hartwig given his rigidity with fitting patients into scales instead of reporting about them as an individual.
