Poor bedside manner & concern for sick child
Couldn't suggest anything other than tests, dismissive of mom's concern, referred to the patient's throat as 'looks good,' when it was very red and sore looking. The patient was very weak, elevated heart rate and had a fever during the office visit, yet the Doctor acted as though it was just run of the mill cold. When we asked if he had any solutions to provide relief, he could only suggest going to ER if we wanted more care. Son's condition has continued to worsen, so we called Urgent Care to check on status of strep test throat culture and was advised that Dr. Strickroot didn't order the rapid test to be cultured. Now we have to go back to urgent care or primary, meanwhile my child can barely swallow and the last thing he needs to do is go back to the doctor. Very upsetting.
