Dr. Rick Papandrea, MD

Dr Papandrea is excellent as a physician. He is kind and very humble. My shoulder is on the mend and I look forward to less pain and more movement. I believe he is an expert regarding hand, elbow and shoulder care. I cannot recommend Dr Papandrea highly enough.

I had a reverse shoulder replacement in June of last year. The experience with Dr. Papandrea was more positive than expected. Dr. Panadrea was attentive, understanding and encouraging, I felt like family. From the initial consultation to my one year follow up visit, Dr. Papandrea and his staff were amazing. The shoulder is as close to 100% as possible, yoga instructors are impressed.

Dr. Papandrea is a hand surgeon who performed my carpal tunnel release surgery under local anesthesia. Five years ago, I had my right carpal tunnel release done and was able to drive to the surgery center for the procedure and then drive myself home not requiring any family members to have to take off of work just to drive me there and back. Looking at my right hand, it is impossible to tell that I had a surgical procedure on that hand and it is such a relief to no longer have the carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms. Now that I am retired, it was time to get my left carpal tunnel release done since symptoms had flared while babysitting grandchildren. Dr. Papandrea performed the second procedure with the same technique and I was able to watch my one and four year old grandchildren six days later. The entire staff were professional and pleasant. I feel so fortunate to have such a talented surgeon and staff available in my area.

Dr. Papandrea was kind, thoughtful and thorough. Explained everything. Operation for replacement elbow went well and it is wonderful to have a working right arm again. Five stars to the Dr.

After surgery care was off the charts fantastic. From a personal call from Dr. P that night to almost daily texts of expectations and encouragement and names and numbers of persons to contact if issues arose.

Dr. Papandrea did surgery to clean out numerous bone fragments and address a bone spur on my elbow. I was very pleased with the results, which included a significant increase in range of motion and function. Good listener and excellent communicator before, during, and after surgery.

The care I have received from Dr. Papandrea has been top-notch. He is a very kind, caring and patient doctor. He took time out of his busy schedule to call me in the evening the day I had my surgery to see how I was doing. He always got back to me right away whenever I messaged him with a question. I highly recommend Dr. Papandrea.

Dr. Papandrea initially proposed a conservative path of cortisone injections to address the discomfort. While the initial injections provided some relief, later injections provided diminished to zero returns. Ultimately I opted for a surgical resection of the sternoclavicular joint. Dr. Papandrea and his staff/surgical team provided excellent care from beginning to end. I found him to be an excellent listener, and a wonderful communicator.

I fell and detached two tendons on my rotator cuff. Atrophy set in due to getting a fever during the Covid epidemic and the initial meeting being delayed. Because of the severity of the detachment it was another orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Associates who recommended that I use Dr Papandrea. Dr Papandrea explained clearly the procedure he would utilize and the possible outcomes of the surgery. He reattached the tendons and placed me on an appropriate rehabilitation program. He personally returned a phone call to me when an important question arose. His team is excellent. I was impressed by the total experience including the rehabilitation.

I followed all the instructions prior to my surgery. I did a extensive exercise program which made the surgery a complete success.

While apprehensive about a fairly new procedure, Dr. Papandrea thoroughly explained the procedure and the excellent outcomes he has had. I had the surgery and the results are amazing. I have absolutely no pain and the recovery went very smoothly. I was off pain pills in a very short time and now 7 months out I am very pleased with my strength and range of motion. Thanks Dr. Papandrea for an excellent result.

Dr. Papandrea and his staff are professional and kind. My surgery was a definite success. I have full use of my arm again. The follow up texts I received after surgery were very helpful .I would put my trust in Dr. Papandrea again without hesitation.

Concerning right shoulder replacement, it was a learning experience for me. Dr. Papandrea helped me understand my physical problems with my shoulder and the procedure that will correct my injuries. His explanation were easy to understand and follow. Very, Very professional in his presentation. Excellent attitude and friendly.

I experienced a significant OneWheel crash that resulted in several broken bones in my elbow when my arm bent the wrong way. Dr. Papandrea performed two surgeries to put me back together, and although he stopped short of turning me into the “bionic man” per my request, he fixed everything and gave me my life back. This man is incredibly skilled in his craft, he’s very detailed and precise, and he’s one heck of a nice guy. I’m an old man who has seen more than my share of doctors, and I consider Dr. Papandrea to be the best of the best.
