Horrendous
I don’t know what has happened but they’ve really gone down hill. Makes an appointment only to reschedule the day before because of an emergency. Fine. They get ahold of me just fine to take my payment but when it comes to actually going through with the call? Oh boy. So they called exactly when I was going to the bathroom. No problem right? WRONG. you literally can’t call directly back to them. It goes to an office somewhere else. Those people can’t just transfer you or give you any information(you know, like if he’s still in his office), they can only forward a message. So I wait all day and nothing. They call back the next day to reschedule 5 days later. They call to tell me he’ll call between 2-5pm. Mind you my calls have only ever been 5-10 minutes long. He called at 5:51pm. He hangs up 30 seconds into the call. No call back. Still waiting. I’m over this place.

I went to Dr. Jenkins for my minor depression and anxiety. Was prescribed Wellbutrin and Prozac, okay, no problem. Was also prescribed anti-seizure medication (Gabapentin) which I found odd, as I do not suffer from seizures. 2 weeks into taking this cocktail, guess what I had? Yes! A seizure! Thankfully, my mother was home, and my 4 year old child was in her room playing. My mom called 911 while I convulsed for a solid 3 minutes, knocking my jaw out of place, and slamming my head into a printer on my fall down. I was taken to the emergency room by ambulance, where the ER doctor was confounded as to why I was prescribed such a cocktail of medication. He advised me to stop all of the medication at once (also terrible advice) and follow up with Mr. Jenkins. The day after my seizure, I called Dr. Jenkins office. The front desk woman could not care less I had a seizure and said I'd probably hear back "sometime next week, because tomorrow is Thanksgiving."

He's not great. But, overall he knows his stuff. If you have complex issues I wouldn't go to him. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, adhd, he can help you. Just know he doesn't spend a lot of time with you. However, he does charge about75 percent less than other doctors who spend more time, so he may be a good inexpensive option t get you going. Also, know he dresses like a dead head. Some may find that off putting. I'm glad to have someone with a bit of personality.

Not SO crazy ;) in Los Angeles, CA – Aug 23, 2016

his office is like a assembly line = he sees his pationts for 5 or 10 minutes and rushes you out. He is constantly late to his office which results in 8-10 people waiting. He does not dress professionally (he wears a dreadlocks wig, gold shoes, bandana on his head). I have questons and he just brushes them off and telle me you should ask your medical dr.) One time I complained about symptopms and he actually said well, i dont know what do you want to do?!!!! his rooms are dark litbyalamps

Unfriendly staff. Most of the time I waited at least twenty minutes past my appointment time to be seen. On multiple occasions, the doctor answered his cell phone during our (very short, impersonal) sessions. Definitely would not recommend this doctor or facility.

When I was researching to find a Doctor I came upon Dr. Rick Jenkins. The posted reviews were below average, and many of the reviews were harsh in nature. I felt I needed to see for myself if Dr. Jenkins deserved those negative reviews. Upon my first visit his office staff were kind and helpful. When I sat down with Dr. Jenkins he was very patient with me and a great listener. I truly feel Dr. Jenkins loves helping people, that's why he works most weekends. You won't be disappointed!
