At check out, we had to make several appointments for lab work and a follow up appointment. It was at the end of the day (5:10p) and it took longer than normal. But the young lady at check out (Racqel D) was very nice, patient, thorough AND professional. It’s very hard to find kind and professional employees (especially in the medical field) these days due to most being over worked. So KUDOS to Ms. Racqel D! We appreciate you and you’re a great asset to the Michigan Healthcare Professionals - Farmington Hills, keep up the good work! Dr Zekman was great too, we were not rushed and he explained everything to us.

Fantastic! . His attention to detail is superb. The front desk does fail to give him messages as he works at four different offices. It is their job to track him down for patients who have called in. I had the same problem so I started asking what office he was in that day and after being transferred, I was always able to talk to him. Best oncologist in Michigan. Top Docs recipient every year.

While the front desk at the Royal Oak office can be agonizingly show, this in no way reflects on Dr. Zekman. There are four oncologists in that office and things do get backed up. I would never judge a Dr. on his office front desk staff. Dr. Zekman is a wonderful, compassionate and kind oncologist. He spends a lot of time with his patients explaining their illness and different options. At the age of 71, I have seen many doctors in my life. Dr. Zekman is at the top of the list. What a stellar doctor.

TERRIBLE front desk workers. When attempting to make an appointment, I waited for 30 minutes to talk to someone. The woman snapped at me and then didn't wait to even hear an answer to her question "can you please hold, I have someone at my window?" - she then clicked and put me on hold and it has now been more than five minutes. Her name, I believe, is Trish who does new patient appointments. She justified her attitude because she's stressed. Well, I'm having a c-section in less than four weeks, and my OB is afraid I'll need a blood transfusion because my hemoglobin is too low -- we're all stressed Trish!

I really like Dr. Zekman he has excellent bedside manners and he cares for you as a patient. He not there just because it’s a job for him he truly cares for the patients. He listens and is willing to try whatever will work to heal you. I start my treatment with in 2015 and have recommended sever people. He’s the Doctor who cares and talk to. I love him and the way he works with a patient. Most of all his never giving up personality!

It would be difficult for me to refer him due to lack of follow up. Saw him during morning rounds and needed an order to continue important medication that never came.

Dr. Zekman has taken care of my father for almost four years. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which had metastasized to the brain. From the start, Dr. Zekman was caring, compassionate and thorough. He always answers our questions with thorough explanations, listens to our concerns and always communicates by phone if we need to talk to him. Once he called when his family was on vacation just to ease our minds about a medication. Excellent communicator. Highly recommend.

Very cocky and clueless. Mailed test results that are not good with no explanation. I called the office several times and left messages for him to call and explain please. I got a call back today from a receptionist who has no idea what anything meant. Still no call from the doctor and it's been over a month. Dr. Zekman does not care about his patients. Would strongly recommend staying away from him!

Dr. Zekman was very knowledgeable, but seemed a bit cocky. There were a ton of people working the front desk, yet the check out line was about 30+ minutes. It was absolutely ridiculous.
