Excellent physician
First of all, Dr. Wieder is an ophthalmologist not an optometrist. There is a difference, and it helps when individuals prone to review anybody understand the distinction. We took a neighbor whose care we oversee to Dr. Wieder for an assessment of her optic neuritis secondary to demyelinating multiple sclerosis. I found him to be extremely caring, very thoughtful, indeed, engaged in every aspect of her care. I almost felt guilty for all the questions we had. He even looked at her MRI scans and noticed interval, progression of the D myelination. This was very helpful since the neurologist who ordered the study either had no idea what he was looking at, or couldn’t be bothered to provide any sort of assessment, as to interval, progression of the de myelination . Go on forever are the days that it avuncular Marcus Welby type was essentially a jack of all trade, who could manage many aspects of a patient’s care cradle to grave. He is a very respectful gentleman

Dr Wieder has been my ophthalmologist for many years and has always been extremely professional, friendly and thorough in my eyesore. I have referred several family members and friends to Dr. Wieder and they too have been completely satisfied with the care they have received.

Cataracts
Everyone wants instant vision and the most perfect surgery. I was no exception. I didn't give it enough time. When I did, I realized that Dr weider had performed the most excellent job with great expertise. At 72 I now have perfect vision and I would recommend him highly

I found this Dr Wieder to be very rude and unprofessional. I went for a consultation to have cataracs removed and I had several questions that needed to be addressed. He would not answer as he said if I should decide to do the surgery he would then answer. What was the purpose of the consultation if my questions are not going to be addressed. I would not under any circumstances recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Wieder spends enough time with patients to explain any problems. If he isn't sure of the diagnosis, he will recommend further testing with another specialist.
