Missed a Vital Diagnosis of My Son
I had taken my children to Dr. Thaller for some time. When I got a divorce, the doc seemed fine but his wife, who ran the office, turned nasty. Only interested in $. It was like she zeroed in on the divorce and discarded our many years of paying our bills promptly. I hated that interaction. I kept going for the doc, tho. But when he misdiagnosed one of my sons as having flat feet, and I knew it was something worse, I dropped him. Foot doc told me that if I hadn't pursued the matter, my son would have had permanent damage. My son subsequently enjoyed fencing in college and now rock climbs. Thanks to Dr. D!! Moral of the story: follow your gut and get a second opinion no matter the doc's recommendations. And if the office is unpleasant (the doc's wife should know better!), drop them. You are paying and they should treat you better!
