One of top docs for sure! Smart and commpassionate
Dr. Schraeder is just amazaing and smart. He has a wonderful bedside manner and he doesn't fool around. He makes things happen and when you have cancer, you need the ball rolling ASAP. He is that person. He has an amazing support team, his PA's and NP's are top notch. He saved my girlfriend after another Cheif of Medical Onclogy and Hematology left saw her outpatient and missed her diagnosis that any doctor, not even one who specializes in Cancer would have picked up. If he had bothered to even look at her lab work, he would have diagnosed her correctly. He billed the insurance company for test after test but clearly didn't bother to read the results. After six months, she was close to death. Took her to see Dr. Shchraeder, he had her diagnosed in two days and transferred to UMD downtown for specialized chemo and it is saving her life.

SUPER DOC ! He asked me (within first minute) if he could check on a patient's chemistry- he would be right back,,, he was. Talk about an excellent "bedside manner" ! I did some check up on him and was rewarded with "GRADUATED WITH HONORS-MED SCHOOL",, also he had much more experience than other hem/oncologists in area. Enough for me and my loved ones. !!! Thank you

Visiting Dr. Schraeder last November was the worst experience for our family that we have had through the past 9 months of cancer treatment. One that we will never forget. For a first time visit, he was neither compassionate nor helpful, other than to enable us to learn what we DIDN'T want from a doctor. He even left the premises because it was 6 p.m. and left his assistant to explain the forms of chemotherapy that he would provide. Luckily, we went directly for a second opinion at Hopkins.

As others have noted, Dr. Schraeder has a fine ability to deliver even bad news in a frank but compassionate manner. I asked for a second opinion and he helped me arrange that. He has been a thorough care provider, flexible and responsive. I highly recommed him.

Dr. Schraeder tells it like it is. Then, gives the family time to digest it. He's a good doctor. I liked him very much. My dad was seeing him to treat his cancer. Dad has since passed away. Dr. Schraeder was right about everything! Quality of life vs quantity is the way to go.

I saw Dr. Schraeder for the first time last week. He immediately put me at ease, broke down what was going on, and ensured that I got the treatment that I needed. I was nervous, but after about 30 seconds I was comfortable. He has great bedside manner. Not only did he get me in, but recommended me to a great Dr. to follow up on other specialists.

Dr. Schraeder is a friendly and professional doctor. He spent lots of time with me and explained everything in detail. He is an excellent doctor. He encouraged me to get my mammogram and I was able to catch cancer in the early stages. Thanks to him, I am surviving cancer!
