I had emergency surgery for a total retinal detachment and due to the efforts of Dr. Rothman and his team, I was able to regain my vision! Unfortunately, I had to have my one year follow-up with another ophthalmologist, as The Retina Institute had dropped out of my insurance. Dr. Rao at BJC, stated that my visual recovery was "a testament to the skill of my surgeon." Thank-you, Dr. Rothman!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Rothman?
Dr. Rothman does not have much compassion and he can be unintentially rude. I had an emergency situation and was taken aback by his manner, though I’m sure he is good at his job. I was ok with this until I had to speak with his associate. His associate is worse. The associate does not return phone calls in a timely fashion, and is pushy when he does return calls. I will not be seeing Dr. Rothman again due to the unprofessional behavior.
