Avoid Dr. Radak
Dr. Radak refused to facilitate scheduling a CAT scan for me after saying I needed one. Apparently the CAT scan machine at North Pointe was down. He then said that “what difference does 2-3 days make?” and told me to go through my primary care doctor. He could have helped. My primary care doctor said that he should have helped me. I’m still in pain, still not scheduled and it’s already 3 days later. I guess I’ll have to use the ER in some other health system and just keep paying.

Overdosed on Steroid
Dr. Radak treated my wife for Sinusitis and prescribed Prednisone 50 mg / day for 5 days. The dosage was definitely high regardless of the severity of her sinus. She witnessed severe headache and vomiting, 12 hours after she took the dosage in the morning, and the side-effects lasted for more than 6 hours at night. We stopped the dose on first day itself and consulted other doctors who were shocked at the dosage level prescribed for a minor scenario. Unfortunately, he is the primary doctor in emergency so there's no alternate to any other provider at the facility where patients require immediate attention but the affiliated health system should have a mechanism to monitor, review and question dosages for drugs that have severe side effects. God knows what would have happened if we continued on the drug for 5 days as recommended by the doctor.
