Dr. Richard Pesikoff, MD

Most in my family have been a patient of Dr. Pesikoff at one time or another beginning in the 80's. He is my Dr currently. Wouldn't go to anyone else

My son has been seeing Dr Pesikoff regularly for the past 5 years. His case is not the easiest but I only have good things to say about him. Under his care my son has made good progress. Dr Pesikoff is extremely knowledgeable, well known in his field. His staff is not the warmest but they are fast and efficient.

Pr. P has not been supportive of my psychological well being. I know myself better than anyone. he may have been practicing for decades, but if you do not support the patient. i plan to leave his practice. His NP was much more supportive to my needs. I do not want to feel suicidal ever again, and I may because he refused to support me in my needs.

He is very current with psychiatric issues. He explains them in a way that any layman can understand.

Great Staff! And my last phone appointment with Dr. P himself was actually a fun conversation.

Staff is very kind and there is not a long wait for appt. Dr. Pesikoff and his staff of Physician Assistants are professional and I feel, want to do the best for their patients. I have always received refills and call backs FAST. I am thankful to be cared for by this office.

I've been a patient of Dr. Pesikoff since the early 2000s. He's a superior psychiatrist, very highly respected, very responsive, has more than forty years' experience, and has a highly professional and cordial staff. I'm very, very pleased and have no criticism whatsoever.

Great Doctor

Dr. Pesikoff saved my life. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child when my family lived in Houston. We went through multiple doctors and meds without success. Most of the doctors we saw were only interested in using meds to make real changes. But Dr. Peskioff really helped us to understand what having ADHD meant for both me and my family. He taught us useful skills and coping strategies and helped me process my feelings. I am so grateful for everything he did for me. I’ve gone on to lead a successful life thanks to the work we did as a kid. I’m a college graduate, happily married, and running my own business. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for this man.

Awful customer service. When requests are sent in it is always delayed. I have to call in to ask them to do it anyway. Today, I called in after sending the prescription through the portal and they said there was a message left for me in the portal that I had to make an appointment and that they are not allowed to call or email me to let me know. Not once have we seen Dr. Pesikoff. The receptionist is RUDE! Stay far away from this place.

Be aware - doctor and office manager centric (king and queen) vs patient centric. Don’t datebook have real patient issues.

Dr. Pesikoff is absolutely the best Child Behavior specialist in Houston! He has done wonders with helping my son be more responsible and improve his overall behavior! Thanks Doc! Jim

My therapist referred Dr. Pesikoff, unfortunately he was not accepting new patients. I have been seeing NP Surya for about a year now. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and listens to what my concerns/issues/problems are. She always makes sure I'm taking the proper medication for exactly what I need. She truly cares about her patients. The staff is also very friendly and professional on the phone and during office visits. I would definitely recommend Surya to anyone.

Totally missed my ADHD in high school, said I was depressed, because I had never been good at sports. Put me on Prozac. Took a psychologist who had worked in the schools to put me through a full battery of tests and find the ADHD and give me proper treatment.

I spent the better part of my youth in & out of "Psychiatric Treatment Facilities" aka Pill Farms.My parents ready to admit me at the 1st sign of emotions, I was a teen, we emote! Diagnosed with everything from Bipolar, to Manic Depression, with al the corresponding pills. Turns out, I have hypothyroidism & ADD. No one checked my thyroid, until Dr. Pesikoff. He was the only one to LISTEN. Together we found that Celebrex worked. It's been life changing. He gave me back my life. I'm so grateful

I see one of the nurse practitioners at this office. She is very thorough in making sure I have what I need. She doesn't force different aspects of treatment, but rather listens to and respects my choice.

Horrible communication problems between office, doctors, pharmacies, & patients. Shady billing policies. Office manager is uncaring & doesn't listen to administrative-based concerns. NP Surya seems more like she's there to make money/push pills than to actually listen & help. They scheduled an appt without my consent and tried to make me pay $60 for a missed appt! When I called to discuss I was interrupted and rudely spoken to by the office manager. I am going away with more depression/anxiety!!
