Dr. Richard Ou, MD

I heard a lady at the front desk of Dr. Ou talking about a patient owing money and she would talk to the Doctor. She kept placing the patient on hold then 10 mins later told her it didn’t matter what the health issue was she needed to pay the entire $50.00. I assume the patient ok and disconnected the call. The front desk lady laugh and hung up the phone.

I would not refer Senior Citizens to Dr Ou due his staff attempting to intimidate them.

I just had my left eye done on Thursday morning, August 4. I opted for laser assisted cataract surgery. That same evening, I was amazed at the clarity of the TV screen. I didn’t need eyeglasses for my right eye as the left can see clearly. The entire surgery experience went well, procedure clearly explained, surgery staff very nice and helpful. Thank you Dr. Ou and your entire staff both in office and surgery center!!

Very controlling doctor.

Dr Ou did IOL replacements on me about 6 years ago. They are doing well, only about a quarter of a diopter of astigmatism in one eye is uncorrected. Recently, I was out in the dark sky county of West Texas. I expected to see thousands of stars at night, but instead, there were a hundred thousand. It was a sight that I will remember for a long time.

Appears to know but unfortunately much after getting the maximum bill out of me. Surgery scheduler-The Lady makes herself unavailable. She sets up a huge bill for the patient, & another staff called to collect another un-explained thousands of dollars from me the patient. Too many inconsistencies. Though my Insurance card was collected, and lo this Dr. was not in my insurance. No clear straight up information was provided by the surgery coordinator stall. Above all, I as scheduled for most un-necessary 3 types of surgeries in each eye that would have been so devastating to me. Second-Opinion highly professional honest Specialist declared me surgery free but treated me with great powered lenses. God saved me for inconsistences in this practice.

Dr Ou was recommended to me by my husband. Best choice EVER!!! He & his team are AWESOME. Very patient & knowledgeable. All questions were answered along with a plan of treatment & actions for my condition. I am a very satisfied client. ????????

My dad has been a patient for 20 years and today they turn him around for being late. He was sent to the wrong address and the office manager Janette is so rude and unprofessional. Never have my 86 year old dad been treated this way. 17 mins late and turn him away. Dr ou wasnt aware of this only the staff.Front staff is horrible and also schedule...This office is horrible i wouldnt invite my dog there. Then she said my dad miss appointment umm if you have the wrong number of course he will miss.

Dr. Ou is a very good doctor but his staff at the front desk and scheduling is horrible, referring doctors fax the referral to Dr. Ou's office but his office declines the receipt of it not once but multiple times faxed by referring doctor some of his staff at the front office is not even polite.

If you are looking for a superior and caring eye surgeon, look no further than Dr. Ou. He was as nice as he was competent. I would trust him with any and all problems connected to my eyes.
