I would never recommend Dr. Nix. I continue to hear more and e of his patients that have had unsatisfactory results from his knee surgery. I had my knee replaced three years ago and my knee hurts every single day and it also hyper extends backwards that has caused pain in my foot. I went to see him. Does he care, no! Do yourself a favor, DON’T USE HIM AS YOUR ORTHOPEDIC SURGRON!!!

Poor result from flawed surgery technique
Dr. Nix had several deficiencies. Unable to deal with complications. Needed 2 separate revision surgeries to correct 2 separate errors he made by doing robotic knee replacement. Enormous struggle for my family member. A truly awful experience.

Unprofessional
I have been a patient of Dr Nix for a couple of years now, and was pleased with his capabilities. I referred my wife to him because of her knee pain. She wanted him to review anMRI she had done in Texas to see what he would recommend. Had an appointment set and his office text and cancelled it a week before due date. Trying to talk to someone about this and it was made to seem she was trying to get drugs or something. And could only see her in another monthTOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL ON THEIR PART!!!We will find a doctor who staff is professional and caring, they obviously don’t care about the patients or the patients needs.

Excellent doctor. Was very thorough and due to requirement for a chest x-ray prior to surgery I found I had lung cancer. Fortunately, for me it was caught very early and was able to be removed without any other treatments! I am very grateful to Dr. Nix. My knee replacement was postponed for my lung surgery but rescheduled at a later date. Surgery went great. I had no real pain after waking up in recovery. It was awesome. after living in pain for several years this was wonderful!

Great surgeon
I was seen by Dr Nix after a referral from my PCP for carpal tunnel issues in my right hand. Dr Nix was very nice and explained in depth the surgery I would need to fix my problem. My surgery was set up by his office and I was in and out of out patient surgery very quickly. Follow up care was great as well. I would highly recommend Dr Nix and his staff for any orthopedic surgical needs!

Consult for knee and hip pain
The visit was timely and dr. Nix provided thorough information based on x-rays, questions, and physical exam. I know several people who have had robotic surgery frim Dr. Nix and were very pleased. I've decided to have my knee replaced robotically by him.

Post Op Infection Wonund
On May 26th 2022, Dr Nix preformed at total Hip Replacement on me. That new Hip Replacement one! It turned out to be a total disaster, big blester and sores! He has NO compassion for what happens after surger! I had to request my PCP for a referral to the Wound clinic in Little Rock! Nix new the the Knee replacement wasn't getting any better, but new made that referral to the the wound clinic! Now July 26th I have ucles in my knees and he does seem to give a care! I am going to therapy and still unable to walk without a walk. Post Op Infection Wonund, is what what I have, however he will not answer any questions as to what went wrong. I sent pictures of my swollen infected knee to the patient advocate, and no one has answered on Hospital behalf, I have NO! Faith in this Hospital or Dr Richard Nix, praying for a miracle healing from God!!!

Went to Dr. Nix as I was having some knee issues while preparing to run a marathon. He was very patient and detailed in his explanation of what the problem could be. I eventually ended up requiring surgery for torn menisci. I am about 3 weeks out and seem to be recovering well. Time will tell but I would recommend Dr. Nix as a very competent, caring ortho.

Office staff lovely. I was surprised that he did not do a physical examination. I felt Dr Nix was condescending. I did find out that there was no surgical indications based on the films. If I ever needed surgery I would look elsewhere. My appointment was at the end of the day and I wonder if this contributed to the lack of engagement, but I feel as a physician that is not an excuse.

Underwent total right knee replacement on Monday, out of the hospital on Tuesday, off the walker on Thursday. Went to outpatient therapy on Thursday, none could believe how much range of motion and how little pain. Afterwards, while walking to my ride, another patient hailed me to inquire who did my surgery. Such an unexpected rapid recovery and so little discomfort. This doctor is truly a miracle worker! Give him top rating.

Dr. Nix didn't fix my broken foot. 9 months into the injury he still wouldn't do surgery "because it would just set me back 3 more months". Two second opinions later both recommended surgery because if after three months the bones didn't come together they won't after 9. Also I Dr. Nix said I needed to do "light cardio" and keep exercising and both opinions were absolutely not that is probably part of the problem as to why it is not healing.

I went in to be seen about my ankle that was broken. Instead of dealing with the issue of my broken ankle, he felt the need to give me a weight management course! He went on further to say how I'm going to break my husband down due to my immobility and having to depend on him as well as my crutches to get around. I chose not to give him any stars. It has been said that the first impression is the last and in this case, I definitely won't be going back there! Heartbreaking for me!!!!!
