Dr. Richard Lim, MD

Dr Lim is a great surgeon. My lumbar fusion he did years ago is still solid. I developed new painful symptoms higher up so went back but this time he was rushed, didn't listen to me, very short in his answers to things I managed to ask. Said there was nothing he could do. And brushed me off. Then started asking abruptly right there in the exam room why I wouldn't leave a credit card on file even though my excellent insurance was verified prior to my visit and my deductible was paid and I have no copays. I've never had a doctor bring up billing before! He offered no advice except try physical therapy and he didn't want me to follow up. I'm very disappointed. I understand Midwest has a collection problem but he was more concerned about billing than the pain I am in.

Dr. Lim listens and explains everything in great detail so all my questions are answered. He does not rush appointment

The appointment was super fast! Barely let me talk unless it was yes or no answers. It was a of he was in a hurry. I'm old and it takes time for me to answer and to process the questions.

As usual visit was warm and informative. I wanted to proceed with lower back surgery but was informed that it was necessary to have physical therapy before proceeding to that step. I plan to start the necessary therapy during the first week of August. Good visit.

Dr. Lim is my back doctor! He’s personable and doesn’t sugar coat things. He’s a “straight to the point” kind of doc! When I asked my Ortho doc that I’ve been seeing for 25+ years who he’d go to if he had a back issue, he said, “Dr. Lim” without hesitation.

Good information about my back, but I wish something can be done to take the pain away. I have so much pain I can't work, go on vacation, sleep with my wife. He recommends physical therapy, but the pain persists. I will have to try unorodox pain relieving treatments. right now the pain is so sever that I can't go on like this. Dr. Lim recommended a pain medicine that costs $900. I don't have $900. I might have to get pain meds from the street.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lim's for 17 years. He is an excellent doctor. He cares about his patients and is always able to answer any questions you might have. There is no one else I would trust my spinal care to.

I've been seeing Dr Lim for a cervical spine issue. The conservative treatments of physical therapy and three epidural injections haven't worked, and we'll now be going for surgery. Dr Lim and his staff are thorough in all of their explanations, and especially with "what's next." They are friendly, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Dr. Lim.
