Dr. Richard Levine, MD

Dr. Levine presents as a Doctor who knows what he’s doing and has plenty of experience. My surgery with him went fine, but I had issues. I wouldn’t use him again. Pros:CompetentLovely staffShort wait timesCons:-Limits conversation with you.-Interrupts when you ask questions-When you push through with a question, he’s dismissive-Shifty practices (He said I didn’t have a cataract in my left eye. Once I went with the high-end lense for my right eye, he said I did have one & should get the same lens to match.)-High pressure to leave a 5 star review (the day after my surgery he asked me to take out my phone and scan a QR code. When I did so, his Google review page came up. He told me my vision was much improved & asked me to leave a five star review. I couldn’t see yet. I was just out of surgery. He sat there and waited for me to fill out his five star review. I told him I would do so later. He reluctantly moved on, & said I should do it before the end of the day.)

Six months after my cataract surgery, my eyes still do not feel normal. My eyes feel irritated and I suffer from constant flickering of light as well as dysphotopsia. The only time my eyes feel okay is when they are closed!! Dr. Levine doesn't seem overly concerned with my distress. Says come back in another six months. I had high hopes for the expensive multifocal lenses. I now wonder if it was a mistake.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes. Dr Levine was very skilled and professional. Great staff. He spends time with you explaining everything. Great result.

Absolutely fabulous doctor and office. Dr. Levine did my LASIK and my vision could not possibly be better. I could never wear my glasses while playing tennis and swimming - and I couldn't get used to contact lenses. Dr. Levine took a LOT of time during two visits before the LASIK to address my fears/fright about anyone touching my eyes. The whole Lasik procedure took only a few minutes - and as Dr. Levine said, there was no pain. I was working later that evening, and was 20/20 - actually even better - by the next afternoon. Dr. Levine operated on my cataracts last Summer, and my vision is much clearer. I could not believe how short a time the surgery took, and there was no pain involved. The Dr. and all of his staff were very pleasant

he is a good doctor because he has knowledge BUT he is cold and always rushed to get you out of his sight. He won't let you ask him questions and is a very cold individual who in my opinion only cares about his money and not the patient.

A truly outstanding doctor with a fantastic, warm, helpful office staff. I had a serious eye problem causing pain redness and blurry vision which was not getting better. My friends recommended Dr. Levine, and after spending a great deal of time with me and running some test, he found the right diagnosis and even gave me the medications I needed. A remarkable surgeon and clinician. I had cataract surgery 3 months ago to restore sight which had been lost over the past 3-4 years. The procedures, done 2 weeks apart were easy - less than 15 minutes. After a day or two of some slight hazy vision and dryness, my vision cleared up beautifully and I was able to read the newspaper without glasses for the first time in 2o plus years. He has a smoothly running, well-equipped office, and caring staff. Could not recommend him enough!

I just had cataract surgery in both eyes, two weeks apart. The surgery process was easy and anxiety free thanks to Dr. Levine and his wonderful staff. Recovery took a just a few days for each eye and the best reward was my new crystal clear vision at every distance. It’s been a pleasure to say good bye to the contact lenses and glasses I’ve relied on for so long.

When I visited the office post-surgery, I felt like I was in a factory. I've had issues since my surgery, and Dr. Levine says only that they'll go away. When I ask him for a time frame, he says weeks to months. It has been six months and my issues have not gone away, but gotten worse. Dr.. Levine gives me about two minutes in follow-up visits. He seems annoyed by my concerns. He tried to get me to do my other eye immediately using fear tactics. 6 months later other eye is fine.
