I experienced a mania episode due to my bipolar, so I regrettably yelled at this so call doctor. He quickly felt threatened by me and called security. The worst part is he later refused to treat me. He is an insensitive man. I hope one day he can really understand where some people come from. Because although he has "experience" working in a rural clinic, that does not make him cultural competence. It seemed like he is not willing to help, even though he repeats "I want to help you" don't believe him. Everyone at kaiser is all about protocol or procedures. This is why health Disparities continue in Latin X and Black communities. Because Asian and white men have always thought of themselves as superior and more intelligent than the undeserved communities.
